A water quality analyzer comprises: sensor electrodesmade of different metals from each other, the electrodes in a liquid of inspecting object generating a sense voltage in proportion to the liquid's impurities concentration; an operational amplifier OPamplifying the sense voltage without inverting to provide for a CPU; a resistor Rwhose one end is connected to the electrode; and a voltage dividerapplying a voltage obtained by dividing the sense voltage by a prescribed division ratio to R's another end. The CPUcalculates input signal from OPto obtain chlorine concentration and displays the calculated result on a LCDin a measurement mode, and sets the division ratio of the dividerso that sense voltage across electrodessoaked in a liquid including prescribed concentration chloride approximately agrees with a reference voltage of prescribed concentration in a sense-voltage calibration mode.

Water quality analyzer

An oxidation-reduction potentiometer immerses a working electrode and a reference electrode in a reference liquid, measures an interelectrode voltage between the above electrodes when an impedance reducing circuit is unconnected and an interelectrode voltage between the above electrodes when the impedance reducing circuit is connected by interelectrode voltage measuring means, computes a comparison coefficient based on the measured voltages by a comparison coefficient computing section, stores the coefficient in a comparison coefficient storing section, immerses the working electrode and the reference electrode in a test liquid, measures an interelectrode voltage between the working electrode and the reference electrode when the impedance reducing circuit is connected by the measuring means, and computes an oxidation-reduction potential by an oxidation-reduction potential computing section based on the measured voltage when the impedance reducing circuit is connected and the coefficient stored in the storing section.

Oxidation-reduction potentiometer

Disclosed is an electrochemical sensor comprising a work electrode and a reference electrode, said sensor adapted to measure the characteristics of a liquid under test, based on the relative electric potential difference and electric current between the work electrode and the reference electrode both immersed in the liquid under test, said work electrode comprising a substrate that reacts to the liquid under test for generating an electric potential according to the concentration of the liquid under test, and said reference electrode comprising a substrate that reacts to the liquid under test for generating a fixed electric potential. According to the present invention, at least one of the work electrode and the reference electrode comprises said substrate coated with a function film for serving to generate the electric potential through the intervention of the film between said substrate and the liquid under test.

Electrochemical sensor

Disclosed is a health care apparatus, comprising: a measurement unit; an input unit; and a health index calculation unit. According to the present invention said measurement unit measures an oxidation/reduction potential of a body of a person, and said input unit enters at least one of living body information other than said oxidation/reduction potential of the body. Furthermore, said health index calculation unit calculates a health index for judging a health condition, based on said oxidation/reduction potential of the body and said living body information.

Health care apparatus

A polarographic densitometer has a voltage applying circuit, a sensor unit, an impedance reduction circuit, and a current/density conversion unit. The voltage applying circuit applies specified voltage, and the sensor unit includes a group of electrodes to produce a current output in response to any reaction caused in a specimen when the specified voltage is applied by the voltage applying circuit. Furthermore, the impedance reduction circuit reduces impedance of the specimen between the electrodes of the group, and the current/density conversion unit converts the current output of the sensor unit when the impedance is reduced by the impedance reduction circuit into the density of specific material in the specimen.

Polarographic densitometer

A residual chlorine meter detects a pre-calibration residual chlorine reaction amount of sample water in a detection section, inputs a calibration standard residual chlorine standard concentration of the sample water in an input section, determines calibration factors from data for computing the calibration factors based on the amount and the concentration stored in a calibration factor computation data storage section in a calibration factor computation section, and stores the calibration factors in a calibration factor storage section. Then, the meter detects an on-measurement residual chlorine reaction amount of the sample water in the detection section and determines a post-calibration residual chlorine concentration of the sample water from data for computing the post-calibration residual chlorine concentration based on the on-measurement residual chlorine reaction amount and the calibration factor stored in a residual chlorine concentration computation data storage section in a residual chlorine concentration computation section.

Residual chlorine meter

A pedometer is provided for use by a pregnant woman. Embodiments include a pedometer having a number-of-activity step acquisition unit that acquires the number of activity steps taken by the pregnant woman, an activity energy consumption calculation unit that calculates activity energy consumption caused by the number of activity steps, and a proper energy consumption storage unit that stores proper energy consumption for the pregnant woman. A comparison and assessment unit compares the activity energy consumption with the corresponding proper energy consumption and assesses the activity energy consumption of the pregnant woman. A comparison and assessment result output unit outputs the result of the comparison and assessment.
