An ultrasonic imaging apparatus for obtaining a two-dimensional distribution of a predetermined characteristic parameter of a medium of the ultrasound at various points in a plane. The apparatus contains a unit for designating a region of interest in said plane, and a unit for obtaining and indicating statistical information on a dispersing characteristic of said predetermined characteristic parameter of the medium at the various points in the region of interest of said plane. In addition, the apparatus contains a unit for obtaining and indicating a recent history of the dispersing characteristics during the operation of obtaining the two-dimensional distributions which are most recently carried out. Further, the apparatus contains a unit for obtaining and indicating the plane for which the minimum standard deviation is obtained, and a unit for indicating the two-dimensional distribution for the plane.

A method and system for making visible a flow of blood in a living body. The method comprises the steps of obtaining blood flow vector distribution maps by a recpetion of waves reflected from a living body to which ultrasonic pulses are radiated, and by a Doppler analysis of the reflected waves, arranging dummy blood corpuscle in domains in which the blood flow vector distribution maps are expressed, calculating flow velocity vector of the dummy blood corpuscle for each dummy blood corpuscle from the blood flow vector distribution maps, forming a plurality of images in which the dummy blood corpuscles are sequentially moved in response to the flow velocity vectors, and sequentially displaying the plurality of the images on a display. Also, the density of the arrangement of the dummy blood corpuscles, for example, corresponds to the blood pressure.

Method and system for making blood flow visible

A digital SQUID control system for measuring a weak magnetic flux irradiated from an object includes: a SQUID having Josephson junctions and a superconductively coil; a pick-up coil detecting the weak magnetic flux from the object and flowing a measuring current in the pick-up coil, and an input coil magnetically coupled to the superconductivity coil through the measuring current; a feedback coil magnetically coupled to the superconductivity coil through a feedback current; a feedback circuit for counting positive and negative pulses input from the SQUID, for converting count values to an analog voltage, and for converting the analog voltage to the feedback current; an alternating has current generating circuit connected to the SQUID through an injection terminal, for supplying the alternating bias current to the SQUID; and a pulse rate measuring circuit for calculating a sum of the positive and negative pulses, for converting the sum to an analog voltage, and for outputting the analog voltage to the alternating current generating circuit. Further, the alternating current generating circuit controls an amplitude of the alternating bias current in such a way that the sum of the positive and negative pulses per unit of time becomes constant, and the feedback circuit controls the feedback current under the controls of the alternating bias current amplitude in such a way that a difference between the positive pulses and the negative pulses becomes zero by flowing the feedback current through the magnetically coupled superconductivity coil.

An ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus displays a moving body in colors. Particularly to ultrasonic analysis equipment that provides frequency and sign outputs corresponding to blood flow speed and direction by means of a color flow mapping analyzer. Ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus

A method and device to display in real time a stream line of an inhomogeneous flowing medium such as blood flow in a heart, is disclosed. The object is scanned several times by ultrasonic beam pulses. Echoes appearing within a predetermined time interval at each point of the object are combined to produce an image of speckles formed by the flow. The process is repeated several times, to obtain the motion of the speckles. Differences between the images of spatially correlated speckles obtained within the time interval, produce the segments of the stream lines. Differences between successive frames or successive lines can be used to produce the speckle and several methods of scanning are disclosed to produce the differences between the images to produce the stream lines.

A blood flow measuring apparatus provides a two-dimensional blood stream flow velocity distribution diagram which displays a two-dimensional blood stream flow velocity distribution in a region of a living body to be examined and a one-dimensional blood stream flow velocity distribution diagram which displays a one-dimensional blood stream flow velocity distribution in a linear region specified by a line on the examined region with a measuring condition different from the measurement of the two-dimensional blood stream flow velocity distribution. In the present invention, the two-dimensional blood stream flow velocity diagram and the one-dimensional blood stream flow velocity diagram are simultaneously displayed in such a manner that the corresponding portions can be clearly read, and thus the blood stream flow velocity in each portion can be correctly and easily determined.

Blood flow measuring apparatus

A correlation detection type ultrasound blood flowmeter for measuring speed of flowing blood which is passing across two sample volumes which are respectively positioned at the same distance to each other from the blood flowmeter on two sound-beams formed by the blood flowmeter. The speed of flowing blood is measured by cross correlation time-difference detection, and the detection is performed by using sample and hold voltages obtained from echo signals reflected from the flowing blood which is passing across the two sample volumes. To the blood flowmeter, two quadrature detection circuits are applied for selecting echo signals reflected by the flowing blood from echo signals reflected by whole substances located along the two sound-beams by eliminating echo signals reflected by fixed substances located along the two sound-beams, and two range gate circuits are applied to each quadrature detection circuit for extending a range of each sound volume for measuring the speed of the flowing blood which passes across the two sample volumes not only perpendicularly but also aslant to a center line made by the directions of the two sound-beams.

Correlation detection type ultrasound blood flowmeter

An ultrasonic imaging apparatus comprises transducers for transmitting ultrasonic waves and receiving acoustic. The apparatus also transmits ultrasonic waves of different frequencies simultaneously from a plurality of transducers. The frequency characteristics of the transducers are determined in a manner so as to produce the function of frequency filters. An electric filter is additionally provided for compensation. Thus, crosstalk is eliminated even when the frequency difference between the transmitting ultrasonic waves is kept small.
