An electronic apparatus includes a memory configured to store an input image and at least one processor configured to obtain two consecutive frames of the input image as input frames; obtain a first interpolation frame of the input frames and a first confidence corresponding to the first interpolation frame based on a first interpolation method; obtain a second interpolation frame of the input frames and a second confidence corresponding to the second interpolation frame based on a second interpolation method that is different from the first interpolation method; obtain weights corresponding to the first interpolation frame and the second interpolation frame, based on the first confidence and the second confidence, respectively; and obtain an output image based on the weights.

Electronic apparatus and controlling method thereof

According to an embodiment of the disclosure, an electronic apparatus may include: a display configured to display an image; and a processor configured to: adjust, for each of sub areas having a specified size in an image quality degradation anticipation area of an image, a pixel value of at least one adjustment pixel among a plurality of pixels included in each sub area, and change the adjustment pixel into another pixel among the plurality of pixels, while maintaining a representative value of the plurality of pixels included in each sub area.

Electronic apparatus and control method thereof

Disclosed is an electronic apparatus. The electronic apparatus includes a memory configured to store a plurality of frames included in an input image and a processor configured to: identify whether one frame of the plurality of frames is a first interpolated frame generated based on at least two frames from remaining frames of the plurality of frames, and select a reference frame to be used in frame interpolation of the plurality of frames based on the first interpolated frame being identified.

A display apparatus is provided. The display apparatus includes a display panel including a plurality of pixels and configured to display an image corresponding to an image signal, a backlight including a plurality of light sources, and configured to independently operate a light emitting block corresponding to each of the plurality of light sources to provide light to the display panel, and a processor configured to control an amount of light of each of the plurality of light sources according to the image signal. The processor is configured to calculate an amount of a red (R) light, an amount of a green (G) light, and an amount of a blue (B) light that at least one light source among the plurality of light sources is configured to emit to one area on the display panel, identify the color information of the one area based on each of the calculated amounts of the R light, the G light, and the B light, and adjust an image signal corresponding to the one area based on the identified color information.

A display apparatus and control method thereof are provided. The display apparatus includes: a display panel; a driver configured to drive the display panel based on an image signal; a light source configured to supply light for making an image visible on the display panel; and a processor configured to: control the light source to have two or more emissive sections during a displaying period for one video frame of the image signal, and control a first emissive section and a second emissive section, of the two or more emissive sections, to have different widths in accordance with a change in the image.

The display apparatus includes a display panel; a backlight including a plurality of backlight blocks; and a processor configured to: identify a duty cycle of a driving signal for driving each of the plurality of backlight blocks; drive the backlight based on the duty cycle of the driving signal; identify a motion blur occurrence area in an input image; identify an adjusted duty cycle by adjusting the duty cycle of at least one backlight block from among the plurality of backlight blocks that corresponds to the motion blur occurrence area; and adjust a current of the driving signal based on the adjusted duty cycle.
