A CPU, when determining that the predicted minimum value of a limit value of charging power is not smaller than the minimum power of a charger, controls charging such that charging is performed in a normal mode, the normal mode being a mode in which a lower limit of a command value of supply power is the minimum power, when determining that the predicted minimum value is smaller than the minimum power, controls charging such that charging is performed in an estimation mode, that is a mode in which the lower limit of the command value is an estimated value of the minimum power of the charger, the estimated value being smaller than the minimum power, and controls charging such that charging is performed in the estimation mode by using, as the command value, power between a current limit value of the charging power and the estimated value.

Charging control device

An electronic control unit of an electric vehicle is configured to, in a case of making a welding diagnosis of a charging relay with an external power supply device not being connected to a charging inlet, start the welding diagnosis when a vehicle speed becomes equal to or higher than a first vehicle speed, interrupt the welding diagnosis when the vehicle speed becomes equal to or lower than a second vehicle speed during the welding diagnosis, and resume the welding diagnosis when the vehicle speed becomes equal to or higher than the first vehicle speed during the interruption of the welding diagnosis. The second vehicle speed is equal to or lower than the first vehicle speed.

Electric vehicle and control method for electric vehicle

An ECU of a vehicle performs diagnosis processing for diagnosing whether or not a charge relay has stuck after end of charging of a power storage. When the diagnosis processing has not normally ended, the ECU requests connection again of a connector to a charge port for performing re-diagnosis processing for diagnosing again whether or not the charge relay has stuck. When the connector and the charge port are connected to each other again, the ECU determines whether or not it has received a charging start signal from a DC power feed facility. When the ECU has received the charging start signal, it does not perform re-diagnosis processing.

Vehicle

When DC charging is completed, an ECU of a vehicle performs first diagnosis processing for diagnosing whether or not charge relays have stuck with an SMR being closed. In the first diagnosis processing, whether or not the charge relays have stuck is diagnosed based on an open/close command to the charge relays and a voltage applied to a charge port. When both of the charge relays are determined as having stuck in the first diagnosis processing, the ECU performs second diagnosis processing on the assumption that a DC power feed facility falls under a specific DC power feed facility. In the second diagnosis processing, whether or not the charge relays have stuck is diagnosed based on the open/close command to the charge relays, the voltage applied to the charge port (a first voltage), and a voltage (a second voltage) between a first power line and a second power line.

Vehicle and sticking diagnosis method

A motor-driven vehicle includes a system main relay that is attached to a running electric power line connecting a power storage device to a drive circuit, a capacitor that is attached to the running electric power line between the system main relay and the drive circuit, and a charging relay that is attached to a charging electric power line connecting a vehicle-side connector to the running electric power line between the system main relay and the drive circuit. When a stand-side connector is disconnected from the vehicle-side connector while the power storage device is being charged with electric power from a direct-current charging stand, the charging relay and the system main relay are turned off, a two-pole welding abnormality of the charging relay is diagnosed using a voltage of the capacitor, and then the capacitor is discharged.
