A connector has a fixing hole in an intermediate portion of a terminal member, and has an engagement portion projecting downward in a thickness direction, at an end portion at a front end side of the fixing hole. Therefore, when the terminal member is attached to a housing, movement of the terminal member toward a rear end side can be restricted by fitting a projection portion of the housing into the fixing hole. Furthermore, since the engagement portion is provided to the terminal member, movement of the terminal member toward the rear end side can be restricted by engaging the engagement portion with a front end surface of a protrusion portion of the housing.

Terminal member and connector

A sensor includes a sensor element; a circuit board having an element attachment surface on which the sensor element is mounted; a casing member for housing the circuit board, the casing member having a measurement chamber which faces the sensor element and communicates with the target atmosphere through a gas inlet; an annular elastic seal member which is interposed between the element attachment surface and the casing member in such a manner that the elastic seal member is in contact with the element attachment surface. The elastic seal member is made of foamed rubber and has an end surface flat portion which faces the casing member and another end surface flat portion which faces the element attachment. The elastic seal member is interposed between the element attachment surface and the casing member such that the elastic seal member is compressed between the flat portions of the end surfaces.

A gas sensor comprises a gas sensing element, a storage medium to store individual information prepared individually for the sensing element for use in control of the sensing element, and a circuit board supporting the storage medium mounted on the circuit board. A seal portion of a resin covers the circuit board liquid-tightly. An output base includes a mount surface facing to the circuit board. A terminal portion extending through the mount surface is connected with the circuit board and arranged to deliver the individual information through the circuit board. The output base further includes a support projection projecting from the mount surface and including a support surface supporting the circuit board.

A circuit section of a NOsensor has an output base including a pedestal portion which projects from a middle part of a support surface of a base portion. A circuit board on which a storage medium storing individual information of the NOsensor is mounted is arranged on a mount surface of the pedestal portion. The circuit section has a seal portion which is arranged above the support surface of the base portion, and which covers the circuit board from upper and lateral sides, thereby watertightly sealing the circuit board. The seal portion has an enclose portion which, in a state where the enclose portion protrudes from a peripheral edge of the support surface to a second circumferential side surface of the base portion, encloses the base portion along the peripheral edge.

The first member () supports the circuit board () in such a condition that the circuit board () is electrically connected to an external terminal (). The second member () receives the cable () inserted thereinto and is engaged with the first member (), thereby accommodating the circuit board () in cooperation with the first member (). As a result of engagement between the first member () and the second member (), the housing () establishes an electric connection of the circuit board () to the cable ().

Sensor apparatus having a sensor connected to a circuit board connected to external terminals

A case comprised of a metal-resin composite body having a connector including a terminal fitting, the connector being integrated with an opening of a wall of a case main body so that the connector sandwiches an edge of the wall. The connector is comprised of a base resin formed by injection molding so as to sandwich the wall. A separately-manufactured connector is welded to the base resin. Forming the base resin on the case main body provides a less complicated configuration of the case compared to a case where a connector is formed directly to the case main body.

A circuit board case including: a cover that includes a cover front wall and a rise wall connected to the cover front wall, the cover being attachable to an attaching object at a position on the rise wall opposite the cover front wall; and a case that houses a circuit board and includes a case front wall and a first wall surface oriented toward a direction opposite the case front wall, the case being housed in the cover such that the case front wall opposes the cover front wall. A fitting that engages the first wall surface is formed in the rise wall of the cover so as to urge the case toward the cover front wall and thus hold the case within the cover.

Circuit board case

A connector assembly includes a metal terminal, a lead wire, a connector housing and a sealing member. The metal terminal defines a longitudinal direction. The metal terminal comprises: a lead-wire connection portion located on a front end side; a counterpart connection portion located on a rear end side; and a press-fit portion located between the lead-wire connection portion and the counterpart connection portion. The press-fit portion comprises a curved portion which curves around an imaginary axis extending in the longitudinal direction. The lead wire comprises an end portion connected to the lead-wire connection portion of the metal terminal and comprising an outer circumferential surface. The connector housing comprises a press-fit hole having a wall surface. The press-fit portion of the metal terminal is press-fit into the press-fit hole. The sealing member provides a seal between the outer circumferential surface of the lead wire and the wall surface of the press-fit hole.

When a radio communication module for electronic license plates is installed on a license plate, the following procedure is taken: an attaching portion and an enclosure integrated with it are fixed on a license plate with a bolt. Further, a protruded portion fixed on the attaching portion is engaged into the license plate, and the rotation of the radio communication module for electronic license plates on the bolt is thereby suppressed.

A radio communication module to be installed on a license plate of a vehicle has a module body and a removal protector. The module body is provided with a memory device, which stores a vehicle information, and a radio communication portion, which transmits and receives an electromagnetic wave to exchange the vehicle information with an outer apparatus. The removal protector is for protecting the module body from a detachment from the license plate to prevent the vehicle information from being used by a third person.

Radio communication module to be installed on vehicular license plate

A wireless communication module, which is to be installed on a license plate of a vehicle, has a memory device, a wireless communication circuit, a battery and a housing. The memory device stores vehicle information such as a registration number of the vehicle. The wireless communication circuit performs wireless communication with an outer apparatus to exchange the vehicle information. The battery supplies electric power to the memory device and to the wireless communication circuit. The housing receives the memory device, the wireless communication circuit and the battery therein and is to be fixed to the license plate.

An installation construction of a radio communication module on a license plate of a vehicle includes the followings: the radio communication module provided with a housing having an engaging portion and a fixing hole; an engagement of the engaging portion with a rim of the license plate; and a screw-fastening of a bolt inserted in the fixing hole to screw-fasten the radio communication module together with the license plate to the vehicle.

Installation construction of radio communication module on vehicular license plate

A wireless device to be mounted on a license plate of an automobile is composed of a casing, components contained in the casing and an operating member inserted into the casing. A battery for supplying power to the components is selectively turned on or off by controlling an insertion depth of the operating member into the casing. At an initial depth, the power supply is turned on for testing the wireless device at a manufacturing plant. At an intermediate depth, the power supply is turned off to save energy consumption in periods of transportation or storage. At a final depth, the power supply is finally turned on for actual use of the wireless device, and the casing is hermetically closed by the operating member.
