An inkjet recording device for ejecting ink onto a recording medium to form an image on the recording medium while a recording head is moved with relative movement to the recording medium in a direction along an upper surface of the recording medium, including: a recording head for ejecting ink onto a recording medium; a heating device for heating the recording medium; a conveyance device for conveying the recording medium having been heated by the heating device to under the recording head; and a cooling device which is provided in a state of insulation from the recording head, and has a cooling surface which is cooled to a temperature lower than a temperature of a nozzle surface of the recording head, wherein the cooling surface and the nozzle surface of the recording head are disposed along a direction of the relative movement and to face the recording medium.

Piezoelectric ceramic composition

A droplet ejection head provided with a piezoelectric actuator made by using a KNbO&#x2014;NaNbOpiezoelectric porcelain composition which exhibits a larger piezoelectric constant than those of conventional ones and does not have any secondary phase transition point in the neighborhood of room temperature (from 10 to 40&#xb0; C.) and which is suitable for use in the piezoelectric actuator of a droplet ejection head, that is, a droplet ejection head characterized by being provided with a piezoelectric actuator made by using a piezoelectric porcelain composition represented by the general formula: (1&#x2212;y&#x2212;z&#x2212;w)(KNa)NbO+yLiNbO+zSrTiO+wBiFeO, wherein (KNa)NbOrepresents potassium sodium niobate; LiNbOrepresents lithium niobate; SrTiOrepresents strontium titanate; and BiFeOrepresents bismuth ferrate; with the proviso that 0.4&#x3c;x&#x3c;0.6, 0&#x3c;y&#x2266;0.1, 0&#x3c;z&#x3c;0.1, 0&#x3c;w&#x3c;0.09, and 0.03&#x3c;y+z+w&#x2266;0.12.

Liquid droplet ejection head

Disclosed is a piezoelectric ceramic composition which is produced by adding two or more metal elements and has excellent piezoelectric properties. The piezoelectric composition comprises the main ingredient represented by the general formula: [Li(KNa)](NbTaSb)O(0&#x2266;x&#x2266;0.2, 0&#x2266;y&#x2266;1, 0&#x2266;z&#x2266;0.4, 0&#x3c;w&#x2266;0.2) and the auxiliary ingredient represented by the general formula: ABO(wherein A and B independently represent a metal element having a valence of +3 or together represent a combination of at least two metal elements each having a valence of +3 in average; and ABOrepresents a compound having a perovskite structure).

An inkjet recording apparatus has a head which includes, a plurality of nozzles each of which jets ink containing spacer beads dispersed therein on a substrate; a plurality of pressure chambers each of which communicates with each of the nozzles; and an plurality of electromechanical transducers which change a capacity of each of the pressure chambers by applying a voltage pulse, wherein the ink is jetted from each of the nozzles by applying to each of the electromechanical transducers the voltage pulse which includes a first pulse for increasing the capacity of the pressure chamber and then decreasing the capacity after a lapse of a predetermined time, wherein, when a half of an acoustic resonance period of a pressure wave in the pressure chambers is assumed as AL, a width of the first pulse is twice of the AL or more.

Inkjet recording apparatus

This invention provides a shear mode-type piezoelectric actuator using a piezoelectric ceramic composition free from lead having a high coercive electric field and a liquid ejection head having the shear mode-type piezoelectric actuator. The present liquid ejecting device adjusts the cross-talk amount to a range of &#xb1; 15 %, by providing: a recording head having actuators which generate the ejection energy for ejecting the liquid from a plurality of nozzles for each of the plurality of nozzles; a drive circuit to generate the drive signal for driving the actuator; and an adjusting circuit for adjusting at least one of the rising time constant and the falling time constant of the waveform of the drive signal to a time period more than 30 nsec and less than 150 nsec before the drive signal reaches the actuator.

Liquid ejecting device

A liquid jetting device having: a recording head including a jetting energy generating element; a drive circuit generating drive signal for the element; a liquid detection sensor detecting a jetting characteristic value of liquid jetted from a nozzle; a drive voltage adjustment unit adjusting a voltage value of the drive signal; and a controller to control the drive circuit, the sensor and the drive voltage adjustment unit, wherein the controller performs control so that the liquid is jetted, and creates a correction data from the jetting characteristic value; and the controller performs control so that the voltage value is corrected based on a value obtained by multiplying the correction data by convergence coefficient within a range from 0.50 or more to less than 1.00, and repeats correcting the voltage value until a detection result of the liquid jetted based on the drive signal after the correction becomes a target value.
