An image formation unit according to an embodiment may include: an image formation part with a developer reception port; a developer cartridge including: a developer storage section with a developer supply port; a shutter movable between an open position and a closed position; a lock engagement member; and an operation part configured to be operated to move the shutter and rotate the lock engagement member. When the shutter moves from the open position to the closed position that closes the developer supply port and the lock engagement member rotates in conjunction with movement of the operation part, the lock engagement member is engaged with the image formation part to separate the developer cartridge from a peripheral portion of the developer reception port.

A developer supply device according to an embodiment may include: a developer container; and a developer container holder to which the developer container is to be attached in a first direction. The developer container includes: a shutter movable between a closing position to close a supply port of a housing thereof and an opening position to open the supply port; and a sealing member provided between the housing and the shutter. The shutter includes: a cover portion including a cover surface configured to close the supply port; and a protruding portion projected in the first direction from the cover portion and provided at a position spaced apart from the cover surface to a side of the developer container holder. The developer container holder includes an engagement portion to be engaged with the protruding portion in a state where the developer container is attached to the developer container holder.

An image forming unit includes an image carrier, a developer carrier carrying a developer for developing images by attaching the developer to electrostatic latent images on the image carrier, a developer supply member for supplying the developer to the developer carrier, a first developer container having an opening, for containing the developer, a second developer container reserving the developer supplied via the opening from the first developer container, and a stirring member disposed rotatably in a prescribed rotation direction around a rotation axis in the first developer container for stirring the developer. The stirring member comprises a first elastic member extending in a first direction, and a second elastic member extending in a second direction as different direction from the first direction, and the second elastic member is disposed on a downstream side of the first elastic member in the rotation direction of the stirring member.
