Provided is a pneumatic actuator having improved durability. A pneumatic actuator () comprises an actuator body () including: a cylindrical tube () configured to expand and contract by air pressure; and a cylindrical sleeve () formed by weaving cords () oriented in predetermined directions, wherein in a no-load and no-pressure state, an average angle (&#x398;) of the cords () with respect to an axial direction (D) of the actuator is 20 degrees or more and less than 45 degrees, and in a state in which an average angle (&#x398;) of the cords () with respect to the axial direction (D) of the actuator is 45 degrees with an air pressure of 5 MPa, a ratio (S2/S1) of a total area (S2) of gaps () of the cords () to an area (S1) of an outer surface of the actuator body () is 35% or less.

Pneumatic actuator

Provided is a hydraulic actuator with improved durability, the hydraulic actuator (), having an actuator main body () constituted of a cylindrical tube () capable of expanding/contracting by hydraulic pressure and a cylindrical sleeve () formed by cords () woven to be disposed in predetermined directions, wherein: the average angle (&#x398;) formed by the cords () with respect to the axis direction (D) of the actuator with no load and no pressure applied thereon is in a range of &#x2265;20&#xb0; and &#x3c;45&#xb0;; and in a state where the average angle (&#x398;) formed by the cords () with respect to the axis direction (D) is 45&#xb0; under hydraulic pressure of 5 MPa, a ratio (S/S) of the total area (S) of clearances () between the cords () with respect to an area (S) of an outer peripheral surface of the actuator main body () is 35% or less.

In an information display system panel, color filters each having respective colors are arranged to an outer surface of a transparent substrate at an observation side having a refractive index n and a thickness d, in such a manner that an overlap area between the color filter and the pixel is set in a range of 50%-100% with respect to an area of the pixel, so that a portion between adjacent color filters having different colors, which is perpendicular to a tilt visual direction, is spaced at either one of an upper and lower sides and a right and left sides of the color filter; and a relation between a visual filed displacement I indicated by following formula (1), which is generated when the image displayed by the display media is viewed as a reflected light refracted at 45&#xb0; with respect to a surface of the color filter, and LS and DS denoting a pixel pitch and a pixel space along a visual direction respectively, satisfies I&#x2266;0.5&#xd7;(DS+LS);&#xd7;[sin&#x3b8;/(&#x2212;sin&#x3b8;)]&#x3b8;=45&#xb0;&#x2003;&#x2003;formula (1). According to the invention, an information display panel which can prevent a color mixture with the adjacent pixel when viewed at a slant angle and can perform a color display having an excellent color reproducibility can be obtained.

Information display panel

In the method of manufacturing an information display panel, in which at least one group of display media having optical reflectance and charge characteristics and consisting of at least one or more groups of particles, are sealed in a cell formed by partition walls between two substrates, at least one substrate being transparent, and, in which the display media, to which an electrostatic field is applied, are made to move so as to display information such as an image, a display media filling step for filling the display media in the cell includes the steps of: setting a screen over the partition walls; arranging the display media on the screen; and moving a plate member on the screen under such a condition that the plate member is contacted to the screen. In this manner, it is possible to obtain the method of manufacturing the information display panel in which it is possible to fill the display media by an easy process, and to make easy a control of an area, to which the display media are to be filled, and a control of an amount of the display media to be filled.

Method of manufacturing information display panel

A method for making a dry plating built-up film comprises providing silicon carbide as a starting source and subjecting to dry plating while changing a concentration of a reactive gas continuously or intermittently to deposit and form, on a substrate, a thin film having different refractive indices along its thickness. A method for making a sputter built-up film is also described, which comprising providing silicon carbide as a target and subjecting to sputtering while changing making electric power against the target continuously or intermittently to deposit and form a thin film having different refractive indices along its thickness.

Method for controlling a refractive index of a dry plating film and method for making a dry plating built-up film

An antireflection film is formed of an organic film, and a hard-coating layer, a high refractive index layer and a low refractive index layer laminated in this order on the organic film. The high refractive index layer is formed of metal oxide particles of ITO with electrical conductivity and TiOwith high refractive index, and synthetic resin. A volume percentage of the TiOparticles to a total volume of the TiOand ITO particles in the high refractive index layer is 1 to 60%, and a volume percentage of the metal oxide particles to a total volume of the metal oxide particles and the synthetic resin is 20% or more.

Antireflection film

A transparent conductive film has a polymer filmand a transparent conductive layerformed on the polymer film. The transparent conductive layer includes indium oxide, a zinc oxide system and a tin oxide system. A covering layer, made of material different from that of the transparent conductive layer, is formed on the transparent conductive layer. A touch panel is provided with the transparent conductive film as its upper electrodeA or lower electrode. The surface of the transparent conductive layer is covered with the covering layer, so that physical or chemical stresses generated during the input to the touch panel do not affect transparent conductive layer directly, thus preventing damages and delamination of the transparent conductive layer. Furthermore, the covering layer formed on the transparent conductive layer improves the strength of the transparent conductive film, thereby enhancing a resistance to wear.

Transparent conductive film and touch panel

An antireflection film is formed of an organic film, a hard hard coating layer on the organic film, a first layer coated on the hard coating layer, and a second layer having an index of refraction lower than that of the first layer and coated on the first layer. The first layer is formed of a synthetic resin having pores therein and metallic oxide particles contained in the synthetic resin. The metallic oxide is at least on selected from the group consisting of ZrO, TiO, NbO, ITO, ATO, SbO, InO, SnOand ZnO. The synthetic resin is ultraviolet ray curable resin or electron beam curable resin. The second layer partly enters the pores of the first layer to firmly bond to the first layer through the pores.

A film deposition apparatus equipped with a vacuum chamber, comprising a pair of rollers for vertically traveling a continuous sheet as a substrate, and a pair of sputtering cathodes for continuously depositing the film on the surfaces of the sheet in the vacuum chamber. The cathodes are vertically arranged and horizontally faced each other. The sheet is traveled between a pair of the cathodes. The apparatus and the film deposition process using it make it possible to deposit a film even on surfaces of a flexible sheet without causing problems such as defective film deposition or abnormal discharge, while ensuring stable, continuous, long-term operation.

Apparatus and process for film deposition

A cleaning method for realizing uniform ashing of residues at a high efficiency by uniformly injecting neutral active species directly toward the surfaces of vulcanization residues left on a vulcanization mold is described. The method includes setting a ring-shaped cavity in face-to-face reaction with the inner surfaces of a ring-shaped vulcanization mold in a vacuum treating vessel, transmitting a microwave in the cavity, and emitting the microwave via a number of coupling slots formed in the outer side of the cavity toward the inner surfaces of the vulcanization mold whereupon a reaction gas is injected in the space of the treating vessel between the inner surfaces of the vulcanization mold and the cavity, so that a plasma including a major proportion of neutral active species generated from the reaction gas and the emitted microwave, and the elastomer residue is ashed by means of at least one gas selected from the plasma gas and a neutral active species-containing gas. A microwave generator useful for the method is also described.
