There are provided a light emitting unit that enhances the uniformity of in-plane colors, as well as a display and a lighting apparatus that include such a light emitting unit thereon. The light emitting unit includes: a plurality of light emitting sections each having a light source and a wavelength conversion member, the wavelength conversion member converting a wavelength of light emitted from the light source; an optical component having a light incident surface in opposition to the plurality of light emitting sections; and a color unevenness prevention structure suppressing direct entering of light from the light source into the optical component.

Light emitting unit, display, and lighting apparatus

An illumination device includes: a plurality of light source assemblies; and a plate-shaped optical unit on which light source light beams from the plurality of light source assemblies are incident from mutually different directions, and the plate-shaped optical unit is sectioned into a reflection surface and a transmission surface in accordance with an incident light intensity distribution of each of the light source light beams. Then, transmitted light having passed through the plate-shaped optical unit among the light source light beams and reflected light having been reflected by the plate-shaped optical unit among the light source light beams are emitted with directions aligned, and a boundary between the transmission surface and the reflection surface in the plate-shaped optical unit is formed at a position where incident light intensities of the light source light beams individually from the plurality of light source assemblies have substantially equal values to each other.

A light-emitting device includes: a plurality of light sources configured to be disposed on a substrate; a light diffusion member configured to commonly cover the plurality of light sources; and a plurality of wavelength conversion members configured to be disposed between the light sources and the light diffusion member in a thickness direction and disposed in regions corresponding to the plurality of light sources in a plane, respectively, and configured to convert light with a first wavelength from the light sources into light with a second wavelength.

Image display apparatus

An eyeball detection unit of the present disclosure includes an irradiator that projects substantially parallel illumination light toward a cornea of an eyeball, a detector that detects light intensity of reflected light from the cornea, and a detection controller that identifies a centroid offset in an angular direction of the light intensity of the reflected light from the cornea with respect to a reference optical axis on the basis of a detected value by the detector, and thereafter calculates a positional offset of a cornea position with respect to the reference optical axis.

A display device includes: a frame to be mounted on a head of an observer; and an image display device attached to the frame. The image display device includes: an image forming device; a light guide plate; a support substrate; a first deflection unit; a second deflection unit; and an optical member attached to the support substrate, in which light from the image forming device is deflected at the first deflection unit, propagated inside the light guide plate by total reflection, deflected at the second deflection unit, and incident on the optical member, and the optical member emits the incident light toward a pupil of an observer. The display device further includes a movement device that moves the support substrate with respect to the light guide plate in order to change a relative positional relation between the second deflection unit and the optical member.
