A pneumatic tire has paired bead portions, paired sidewall portions, a tread portion, a plurality of lug grooves extending from a shoulder area of the tread portion to reach a buttress area of the sidewall portion, and a block defined by the plurality of lug grooves. The block includes a shoulder block provided in the shoulder area, and a buttress block provided in the buttress area. The buttress area is provided with an annular rib annularly extending along a tire circumferential direction. The lug grooves are comparted into an outside lug groove positioned in an outer side of the annular rib, and an inside lug groove positioned in an inner side of the annular rib. A widened portion is provided in at least part of the plurality of lug grooves so as to enlarge a width of the annular rib.

Pneumatic tire

A pneumatic tire of the embodiment including two main grooves provided on a tread and extending in a tire circumferential direction; a center land portion formed between the two main grooves and extending in the tire circumferential direction; a pair of shoulder land portions formed between a ground contact end and the main groove; a center auxiliary groove provided on the center land portion; and a shoulder auxiliary groove provided on the shoulder land portion, in which the center auxiliary groove has a groove width narrower than that of the main groove and extends in the tire circumferential direction, and the shoulder auxiliary groove has a groove width narrower than that of the main groove and extends in the tire circumferential direction.

A pneumatic tire includes block rows which are arranged in a tire width direction and each of which includes a plurality of blocks defined by main grooves extending in a tire circumferential direction and lateral grooves extending in a tire width direction. The plurality of block rows includes inner block rows which are the block rows other than an outermost block row located most outwardly in the tire width direction. Numbers of the blocks included in the inner block rows increase toward an inner side in the tire width direction. The blocks in each of the inner block rows include an auxiliary-grooves-formed block having, on an outer surface thereof, an auxiliary groove region in which a plurality of drain auxiliary grooves extending in the tire circumferential direction are formed. Occupied areas in each of the inner block rows decrease toward the inner side in the tire width direction.

A tire has a rim protector has a first protruding edge which extends in the tire circumferential direction, a second protruding edge which extends in the tire circumferential direction, a plurality of recesses, and a plurality of ridges. The plurality of ridges respectively connect the first protruding edge and the second protruding edge. Each of the plurality of ridges includes a first ridge that extends from the first protruding edge so as to be directed in a first direction in the tire circumferential direction to reach the second protruding edge, and a second ridge that extends from the second protruding edge so as to be directed in the first direction to reach the first protruding edge. The first ridges and the second ridges are arranged in alternating fashion along the tire circumferential direction.

Pneumatic tire with specified rim protector

A tire has a rim protector which is formed at a sidewall and which constitutes an annular protrusion that extends in a tire circumferential direction. The rim protector has not less than two recesses that extend toward the tread region from a location toward the bead region in such fashion as to be directed toward a location in a second direction from a location in a first direction in the tire circumferential direction, the not less than two recesses being arranged with spaces therebetween in the tire circumferential direction. A mutually adjacent pair of recesses among the not less than two recesses are in a positional relationship such that they partially overlap as seen when projected onto a virtual plane perpendicular to a tire radial direction.

Pneumatic tire with rim protector including plurality of recesses

A pneumatic tire has paired bead portions, paired sidewall portions, a tread portion, a plurality of lug grooves extending from a shoulder area of the tread portion to reach a buttress area of the sidewall portion, and a block defined by the plurality of lug grooves. The block includes a shoulder block provided in the shoulder area and a buttress block provided in the buttress area. At least some of the plurality of lug grooves end at a connecting portion connecting the paired buttress blocks, the connecting portion is provided on an inner side in the tire diametrical direction of position that are 50% of length in the tire diametrical direction of the buttress block from upper end position of the buttress block. A step or a protrusion where the buttress block has a largest upraised height is provided in the tire diametrical position of the connecting portion.

A pneumatic tire includes a plurality of main grooves extending in a tire circumferential direction, and a plurality of land portions that are partitioned by the plurality of main grooves; the plurality of land portions include at least one shoulder land portion arranged in outwardmost fashion in a tire width direction; the at least one shoulder land portion comprises a plurality of width grooves of groove width not less than 2 mm; and at least one of the plurality of width grooves extends as far as an outside end in the tire width direction of the at least one shoulder land portion and comprises, at a location toward the exterior in the tire width direction from a contact patch end, a wide portion at which groove width increases toward a groove bottom.

Tire

In a pneumatic tire, a sidewall portion includes a plurality of projecting portions projecting in a tire width-direction. The projecting portions are placed such that at least portions of the projecting portions are superposed on a first block in a tire radial-direction as viewed in the tire width-direction. At least one of the projecting portions includes an opening which is separated from both end edges of the projecting portion in a tire circumferential-direction. A center position of the opening in the tire circumferential-direction is deviated from a center position of the projecting portion in the tire circumferential-direction.

In a pneumatic tire, a sidewall portion includes a plurality of projecting portions projecting in a tire width-direction. The projecting portions are placed such that at least portions of the projecting portions are superposed on a first block in a tire radial-direction as viewed in the tire width-direction. At least one of the projecting portions includes an opening which is separated from at least one of end edges of the projecting portions in the tire radial-direction. The opening includes a radial bottom curved surface having an arc cross section extending along the tire radial-direction. A radius of curvature of the radial bottom curved surface is equal to or greater than a maximum depth size of the opening.

A pneumatic tire includes first and second side blocks formed respectively on a side portion such that the first and second side blocks extend toward the inside in a tire radial direction from a tread shoulder portion. The first and second side blocks are arranged alternately in a tire circumferential direction. The first side block has a recessed portion formed so as to be indented with respect to a side surface. In a first region, the second side block projects outwardly in a tire width direction more than the first side block. In a second region disposed inner side than the first region, the first side block projects outwardly in the tire width direction more than the second side block. In a third region disposed inner side than the second region, the second side block projects outwardly in the tire width direction more than the first side block.
