A driving position adjusting apparatus for a vehicle comprises a driver's seat provided on a floor panel of a vehicle compartment, an operational pedal, such as an accelerator pedal, which is operated by a driver seated in the driver's seat, an incline-face portion which is provided on the floor panel, on which a heel of the driver operating the operational pedal is placed, the incline-face portion having an upper face which is inclined so that a front portion thereof is located at a higher position than a rear portion thereof, and a heel-placement height adjusting device which adjusts a height position of the driver's heel placed on the incline-face portion at least by moving up or down the incline-face portion.

Disclosed is an automobile roof structure, which comprises a pair of right and left roof side rails, a transparent roof panelattached to cover a space between the roof side rails, a sun shadedisposed slidably along a bottom surface of the transparent roof panel, and a shade support memberfor supporting the sun shadein a slidingly movable manner. A manual gearshift device for an automotive automatic transmission operative in an automatic shift mode in which a gear ratio is automatically varied according to driving conditions and a manual mode in which a gear ratio is manually changed is disclosed. The manual gear shift device, that is installed to spokes of a steering wheel extending in substantially diametrically opposite horizontal directions, comprises a first gearshift switch which is installed to one of the spokes at an obverse side of the steering wheel and provides a shift-up command signal and a second gearshift switch, desirably different in shape and operative direction from the first gearshift switch, which is installed to one of the spokes at a reverse side of the steering wheel and provides a shift-up command signal.

Manual gearshift device for automotive automatic transmission

A structure of an armrest protruding and extending toward a passenger from an inside wall of a vehicle compartment, comprises a trim body portion covering the inside wall, an armrest face portion extending in a substantially horizontal direction from the trim body portion toward an inside, and a support face portion extending continuously from the armrest face portion downward. There is provided a weak portion (deformation promoting portion) between the trim body portion and the armrest face portion to promote deformation with respect to a lateral load. Further, there is provided a garnish covering the weak portion from the vehicle compartment. Accordingly, both sufficient resistance of the armrest in use for the load applied in the vertical direction and proper impact-absorption function of the armrest during the vehicle side collision can be obtained.
