It is aimed to provide a connector of a novel structure capable of suppressing or preventing the transmission of the swing of a wire to a terminal in a connector. A connectoris provided with a housingfor accommodating a terminal, a back retainermounted in a rear end part of the housingfrom which a wireconnected to the terminalis pulled out, a wire insertion holeprovided in the back retainer, and a wire holding pieceprojecting in a pull-out direction of the wirefrom a peripheral edge part of the wire insertion hole. Connector

A connector includes terminals and shield members respectively supported in a housing, and protection caps. The terminal is in the form of a flat plate extending in an assembling direction D with a mating connector and has a contact point with a mating terminal of the mating connector on a plate surface of the terminal. The shield member surrounds the terminal to face the terminal in a direction orthogonal to the assembling direction D. The protection cap includes a front covering portion for covering a front end part in the assembling direction D of the terminal and locking claws locked to the shield member, and is fixed to the shield member by locking of the locking claws. The connectoris coupled to the mating connector with the protection caps fixed to the shield members and front end parts of the terminals covered by the front covering portions.

A connector is provided with a terminal member including a conductive terminal body in the form of a wide flat plate and a terminal protecting portion mounted on the terminal body, and a housing provided separately from the terminal member and including a terminal holding portion for holding the terminal member. The terminal protecting portion includes a pair of side edge covering portions for partially covering parts of both side surfaces in a front-back direction of the terminal body. The terminal holding portion is provided with a terminal insertion recess through which the terminal member is to be fit. The side edge covering portions are so fit in the terminal insertion recess as to be able to contact the terminal holding portion with the terminal member fit in the terminal insertion recess and assembled with the terminal holding portion.

It is aimed to provider a terminal block capable of simplifying parts management. A terminal blockincludes a busbar assemblyhaving busbarsmade of metal and a holding portionfor holding the busbarswith tip partsand base end partsof the busbarsexposed. The terminal blockalso includes a housinginto which the base end partsof the busbarsare inserted and to which the holding portionis fixed.

A plate terminaldisclosed by this specification is provided with a plate-like body portionmade of metal and long in a front-rear direction, and a plate-like mounting portionconnected to the body portionand projecting forward from a front end surfaceof the body portion, a separate insulating memberbeing mounted on the mounting portion. The insulating memberis located forward of the front end surfaceof the body portionand covers at least parts of a front end surfaceof the mounting portionand the front end surfaceof the body portion

A male terminal disclosed in this specification is a male terminalfittable to a female terminalincluding at least a pair of resilient contact pieces, and includes a terminal contact portionhaving a pin shape and configured to contact the resilient contact piecesof the female terminalwhen the male terminalis fit to the female terminal, and projectionsprojecting from an outer peripheral surface of the terminal contact portionand arranged to be fit between side edgesof pairs of adjacent ones of the resilient contact piecesof the female terminalwhen the male terminalis fit to the female terminal

Male terminal

A multi-contact terminal includes a polygonal tube with side walls. Front resilient contact pieces extend from front ends of the side walls in a connecting direction to a mating terminal. The front resilient contact pieces are folded rearward by front folded portions and are to be brought resiliently into contact with an outer peripheral surface of the mating terminal inside the polygonal tube. Rear resilient contact pieces extend from rear ends of the side walls in the connecting direction. The rear resilient contact pieces are folded forward by rear folded portions and are to be brought resiliently into contact with the outer peripheral surface of the mating terminal inside the polygonal tube. The polygonal tube, the front resilient contact pieces and the rear resilient contact pieces are integral with one another.
