A method for manufacturing aggregated resin particles, includes: preparing a microreactor that includes a first flow channel, a second flow channel, and a confluent flow channel, to which the first flow channel and the second flow channel merge; introducing a first fluid that contains resin particles dispersed therein into the first flow channel; introducing a second fluid that contains an aggregating agent into the second flow channel; feeding the first and second fluids so that a feed amount per unit time of the second fluid is greater than a feed amount per unit time of the first fluid, so as to form a laminar flow, in which the first fluid and the second fluid are merged, in the confluent flow channel; and forming aggregated resin particles by aggregating the resin particles.

Silver halide photographic light-sensitive material

A silver halide emulsion comprises a dispersion medium and silver halide grains, the silver halide emulsion containing tabular silver halide grains having a thickness of less than 0.5 .mu.m, a diameter of 0.3 .mu.m or more, and a mean diameter-to-thickness ratio of 2 or more. The tabular grains occupy at least 50% of a projected area of all the silver halide grains, and 50% or more (number) of the tabular grains include 10 or more dislocations per grain. A light-sensitive silver iodobromide emulsion containing core/shell silver iodobromide grains having a core substantially comprising silver iodobromide containing at least about 5 mol % of silver iodide and a shell selected from the group consisting of (a) a shell comprising silver iodobromide having a lower silver iodide content than that of the silver iodobromide of the core and (b) a shell comprising silver bromide, wherein the relative standard deviation of the silver iodide content of the individual grains of said silver halide emulsion is lower than about 20%.

Light-sensitive silver halide emulsions

An improvement in silver halide photographic light-sensitive materials having at least one silver halide emulsion layer on a support is disclosed. The improvement is that chemically sensitized silver halide grains contained in at least one of the emulsion layers have a distinct stratiform structure having substantially two parts comprising an inside core part and a shell part of the uppermost layer, wherein the inside core part of said grains is composed of silver halide containing 10 to 45% by mol of silver iodide, the shell part of the uppermost layer of the grains is composed of silver halide containing 5% by mol or less of silver iodide, and the emulsion containing silver halide grains having the distinct stratiform structure have an average silver iodide content of 7% by mol or more. The materials have high sensitivity, low fog and excellent graininess.

Silver halide photographic light sensitive materials

A silver halide photographic light-sensitive material is disclosed. The material is comprised of a support base having positioned thereon a light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, a light-insensitive layer and ultraviolet ray absorbing polymer latex of a polymer having a repeating unit derived from a monomer represented by the general formula (I): ##STR1## within general formula (I) the substituents are defined within the specification. The Q represents an ultraviolet ray absorbing group represented by a general formula (II) or (III): ##STR2## The substituents within the general formulae given above are defined in the specification. By including the particular ultraviolet ray absorbing polymer latex of the invention the resulting photographic material has improved antistatic properties and the photographic characteristics of the material are not deteriorated by the presence of the latex.

Silver halide photographic light-sensitive material containing

A method of processing an image-wise exposed silver halide color photographic material is described, having on a support at least one red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, at least one green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, and at least one blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, the total amount of silver iodide contained in the light-senstive silver halides in said light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layers being higher than 4.0.times.10.sup.-3 mole/m.sup.2, which comprises processing the color photographic material further containing in a protective layer thereof a super fine grain silver halide, having a mean grain size of less than 0.2 .mu.m and having a silver iodide content of less than 3 mole %, in an amount of from 50 to 140 mole % of the total amount of silver iodide contained in the light-sensitive silver halides, by a color development process including a step subjecting the material to a compound represented by formula (I) ##STR1## wherein M represents a hydrogen atom, an alkali metal atom, an alkaline earth metal atom, a quaternary ammonium group, a quaternary phosphonium group, an amidino group, or a group represented by ##STR2## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 each represents a hydrogen atom or an aliphatic residue; and m represents an integer of 2 to 4; or a strong acid salt thereof.

Method of processing image-wise exposed silver halide color photographic

A silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material is disclosed. The material is comprised of a support base having a plurality of silver halide emulsion layers positioned thereon. The material includes at least one silver halide emulsion layer having a particular sensitivity and color sensitivity, and a second silver halide emulsion layer having the same color sensitivity but having a greater sensitivity with respect to light, the second layer including a silver halide having a silver iodide content in the range of 9% by mol to 15% by mol. The material includes a DIR compound in a layer other than the second silver halide emulsion layer. The DIR compound releases a diffusible development inhibitor or precursor thereof by a coupling reaction. The resulting material has greatly improved granularity and sharpness.

Silver halide color photographic light-sensitive materials

A silver halide photographic light-sensitive material comprising a support having thereon at least one light-sensitive silver halide emulsion and at least one light-insensitive layer is disclosed. One or more of the layers of the material contains an ultraviolet ray absorbing polymer latex which comprises a homopolymer or copolymer having a repeating unit derived from a monomer represented by the general formula (II) in which one or more ultraviolet ray absorbing compounds represented by the general formula (I) is loaded: ##STR1## the substituents within the general formula are defined within the specification. The material has excellent absorption characteristics in the 300 to 400 nm range and does not cause static marks caused by ultraviolet rays or undergo deterioration of color reproduction. In addition, the material has good film strength and reduced layer thickness and provides a color image having improved sharpness which is free from fading or discoloration due to light.

Silver halide photographic light-sensitive material containing a UV

A silver halide photographic light-sensitive material is disclosed. The material is comprised of a support having thereon a light-sensitive silver halide layer and a light-insensitive layer. The material may also contain other layers and one or more layers contains an ultraviolet ray absorbing polymer latex. The polymer latex is comprised of a homopolymer or a copolymer having a repeating unit derived from a monomer represented by the following general formula (I): ##STR1## within the general formula (I) the Q represents an ultraviolet ray absorbing group represented by the general formula (II): ##STR2## the substituents within the general formulae (I) and (II) are defined in a specification. The photographic light-sensitive material has excellent absorbing characteristic in the 300 to 400 nm range and does not cause static marks caused by ultraviolet layer. Furthermore, the material does not undergo discoloration. In addition, the photographic material has good film strength and a reduced layer thickness and provides a color image having an improved sharpness and which is free from fading and discoloration caused by light.

Silver halide photographic elements containing polymers which filter UV

A silver halide photographic light-sensitive material is disclosed. The material is comprised of one or more light-sensitive silver emulsion layers and one or more light-insensitive layers. The silver halide layers or light-insensitive layers contain an ultraviolet ray absorbing polymer latex. The polymer latex is comprised of a homopolymer or copolymer having a repeating unit derived from monomers represented by the following general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein the substituents within a general formula (I) are defined within the specification. The polymer latex (I) contains a substituents Q which represents an ultraviolet ray absorbing group represented by the general formula (II): ##STR2## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 each represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, an aryl group having 6 to 20 carbon atoms, an alkoxy group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, an aryloxy group having 6 to 20 carbon atoms, an alkylthio group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, an arylthio group having 6 to 20 carbon atoms, an amino group, an alkylamino group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, an arylamino group having 6 to 20 carbon atoms, a hydroxyl group, a cyano group, a nitro group, an acylamino group, a carbamoyl group, a sulfonyl group, a sulfamoyl group, a sulfonamide group, an acyloxy group or an oxycarbonyl group, and R.sub.1 and R.sub.2, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 or R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 may form a 5 to 6 member ring by ring closure; R.sub.6 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms; R.sub.7 represents a cyano group, --COOR.sub.9, --CONHR.sub.9, --COR.sub.9 or --SO.sub.2 R.sub.9 ; and R.sub.8 represents a cyano group, --COOR.sub.10, --CONHR.sub.10, --COR.sub.10 or --SO.sub.2 R.sub.10 ; wherein R.sub.9 and R.sub.10 each represents an alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms or an aryl group having 6 to 20 carbon atoms; wherein one of R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4, R.sub.5, R.sub.6, R.sub.7 and R.sub.8 bonds to the vinyl group through the linking group. The photographic material which includes the polymer latex of the invention has excellent absorption characteristics in the 300 to 400 nm range and does not cause static marks caused by ultraviolet rays. Furthermore, the material does not undergo deterioration of color reproduction and fading or discoloration of color images caused by light.

Silver halide photographic light-sensitive element containing a u.v.

A silver halide photographic light-sensitive material is described containing a compound comprising at least one unsaturated group and at least one betaine group in at least one layer thereof. The photographic light-sensitive material has a high sensitivity without being accompanied by an undesirable increase in the formation of fog.
