A steering device includes: a plurality of electric motorsconfigured to be driven to turn wheels of a vehicle; and three or more drive systemseach configured to output a driving force for driving a corresponding one of the electric motorsto the corresponding one of the electric motors. A total of maximum driving forces each of which is a maximum value of a driving force of each drive systemof the steering device is set larger than a required driving force required to turn the wheels with the vehicle stationary, and in an event of a failure occurring in one of the three or more drive systems, a total of the maximum driving forces of other properly working drive systemsout of the three or more drive systemsamounts to the required driving force.

Steering device

A vehicle steering device includes a turning shaft held in a housing so as to be movable in the axial direction, a ball screw transmitting drive force produced by an electric motor to the turning shaft, a bearing supporting a nut, which is a component of the ball screw, so as to be rotatable relative to the housing, and annular elastic members that support side faces of the bearing in the axial direction of the turning shaft across the entire circumference, and are formed of an elastic material. The elastic members include respective first elastic portions having a first load characteristic that gently increases the ratio of compression load per a unit compression amount deforming in the axial direction of the turning shaft, and respective second elastic portions having a second load characteristic that keenly increases the ratio in comparison with the first load characteristic.

Vehicle steering device

A clutch for use in a steer-by-wire steering device for a vehicle is configured to switch between mechanically coupling and uncoupling a torque transmission path between a steering member operated by a driver and a wheel-turning unit configured to turn wheels. The clutch includes a position change member and a conduction path. The position change member is configured to change between a first position and a second position to switch between mechanically coupling and uncoupling the torque transmission path. The conduction path includes two points that come into contact with or separate from each other in accordance with positional change of the position change member. The conduction path is connected to an electric circuit configured to detect a change in a resistance value of the conduction path.

Clutch and steering device

A straddle-type vehicle seat includes: a saddle-type seat main body which is provided above a vehicle body in one of a three-wheel straddle-type vehicle and a four-wheel straddle-type vehicle and which is straddled by a driver; and an angle adjustment mechanism which adjusts an angle of the saddle-type seat main body with respect to the vehicle body in accordance with a signal from a detection unit that detects a traveling state of the straddle-type vehicle when the straddle-type vehicle is turning.

A steering device includes: a steering shaft; an outer pipe; a first bearing that causes the steering shaft to be rotatable with respect to the outer pipe; and a front body that is disposed in front of the bearing in an axial direction, and the steering shaft; in which a first space into which the steering shaft is capable of being inserted is formed on a radially inner side of the front body, and a second space into which the outer pipe is capable of being inserted is formed on a radially outer side of the front body, and the steering device further includes a release mechanism that releases a relative restraint between the first bearing, a first front end portion, and a second front end portion in the axial direction in a case where the first bearing collides with the front body during the secondary collision.

An electric power steering device including an input shaft to which a steering wheel is connected, an output shaft connected to a wheel side, a torsion bar provided between the input shaft and the output shaft, and a torque sensor that detects steering torque input from the steering wheel. An electric motor is driven in accordance with the torque detected by the torque sensor. A worm wheel is provided on the output shaft to transmit rotation of the electric motor to the output shaft in a housing, wherein a boss of the worm wheel is fitted into an outer circumference of the output shaft, and a bearing fitted into the outer circumference of the boss is supported on the housing.

Electric power steering device

In a variable displacement pump, an outer peripheral surface approximately in an opposite side to a portion supported to an oscillation supporting point in a cam ring with respect to a pump shaft is formed as a convex surface portion holding a seal member brought into slidable contact with an inner peripheral surface of an outer case, and an inner peripheral surface of the outer case with which the seal member held to the convex surface portion of the cam ring is brought into slidable contact is formed as a circular arc surface around the oscillation supporting point.

Variable displacement pump

In a variable displacement pump, a first groove always connected to a second hydraulic chamber is provided in a slide surface of a cam ring facing to an end surface of a side plate, and a second groove always connected to a suction port is provided in the end surface of the side plate, whereby when the cam ring is moved to a moving end side in which a volumetric capacity of a pump chamber is reduced, the first groove and the second groove are connected, and the second hydraulic chamber can be connected to the suction port by the grooves.

In a variable displacement pump provided with a high pressure chamber formed at a position facing to a discharge region of a pump chamber between a back surface of a side plate and a pump casing and introducing a pump discharge side pressure oil, a low pressure chamber formed at a position facing to a suction region of the pump chamber between the back surface of the side plate and the pump casing, and communicating with a suction region of the pump chamber, and an annular seal member interposed between the back surface of the side plate and the pump casing, and surrounding the low pressure chamber together with a lubricating oil path around the pump shaft, the annular seal member is provided with a bridge portion connecting both ends of a U-shape of an approximately U-shaped portion of the annular seal member along the lubricating oil path around the pump shaft.
