A digital holographic apparatus includes a first hologram generating unit that generates a first hologram by causing first object light in a first observation direction to interfere with first reference light, the first object light being generated by irradiating an observation object with light having a first wavelength, the first reference light being derived from the light having the first wavelength; a second hologram generating unit that generates a second hologram by causing second object light in a second observation direction that differs from the first observation direction to interfere with second reference light, the second object light being generated by irradiating the observation object with light having a second wavelength, the second reference light being derived from the light having the second wavelength; a first image capturing unit that captures the first hologram; and a second image capturing unit that captures the second hologram.

There is provided an exposure device including: a light-emitting element array having an elongated support and plural light-emitting elements, the light-emitting elements being arranged in at least one row along a length direction of the support such that a spacing between two adjacent light-emitting elements is a pre-specified first spacing; and a hologram element array having a hologram recording layer disposed on the support and plural hologram elements formed, the plural hologram elements corresponding with each of the light-emitting elements and being formed such that a spacing along the support length direction between two adjacent hologram elements is the first spacing, and a diameter in the support length direction of each of the plural hologram elements being larger than the first spacing, such that a respective light emitted from each of the light-emitting elements is diffracted and focused toward a pre-specified image-forming plane by the corresponding hologram element.

An image-reading apparatus includes a light dividing unit that divides irradiated light so that a part of the light having a first wavelength is diffracted, and a part of the light having a second wavelength is transmitted; a first light measuring unit that measures an intensity of light entering into a first measuring area, and outputs first measurement information indicating the measured intensity; a second light measuring unit that measures an intensity of light entering into a second measuring area, and outputs second measurement information indicating the measured intensity; an image-forming unit that forms an image of a subject for reading in the first measurement area, and that forms a virtual image in the second measurement area using light diffracted by the light dividing unit; and a generation unit that corrects the first measurement information on the basis of the second measurement information.

An image reading device comprises: a light source; a first optical element that focuses light emitted from the light source, the emitted light being reflected by a medium in a first detection area; a first detector that outputs first detection information in response to arrival of light in the first detection area; a second optical element that guides to a second detection area a portion of the light emitted from the light source, which portion does not arrive at the reflective medium in the first detection area; a second detector that outputs second detection information responsive to detection of light at the second detection area; and a generator that generates image data of the medium by revising the first detection information on the basis of the second detection information.
