The display device includes a substrate including a display area and a non-display area, a light-emitting element layer in the display and non-display areas, a color conversion layer including a bank in the display and non-display areas, a capping layer in the display and non-display areas and covering the bank, a plurality of color filters in the display and non-display areas and the plurality of color filters in the non-display area overlapping each other, and an overcoat layer in the display and non-display areas and covering the plurality of color filters. Each of the substrate, the capping layer, the plurality of color filters, and the overcoat layer has a lateral side which is furthest from the display area, and the lateral sides of the substrate, the capping layer, each of the plurality of color filters, and the overcoat layer are aligned with one another.

Display device and method for providing the same

A display panel includes: a window including a display area, and a non-display area adjacent to the display area; a color filter layer on the window; a circuit element layer including: a low refractive index layer covering the color filter layer; and a transistor on the low refractive index layer; a light control layer including: division partition walls on the circuit element layer; and a light control pattern between the division partition walls, and including quantum dots; and a display element layer on the light control layer, and including: a first electrode; a second electrode on the first electrode; and an emission layer between the first electrode and the second electrode and to generate light. The light passes through the light control layer, the circuit element layer, and the color filter layer to be transmitted to the window.

A display panel including: a display region including pixels and a non-display region, each pixel including an emission element including a first electrode, an emission layer, and a second electrode; a pixel definition layer including a first opening; a first encapsulation layer on the pixel definition layer and overlapping the emission element; a partition wall on the first encapsulation layer and including a second opening and a dummy opening; a light control pattern in the second opening; a second encapsulation layer on the partition wall and overlapping the light control pattern; and a color filter on the second encapsulation layer and overlapping the light control pattern, the second encapsulation layer includes: a first encapsulation inorganic layer on the partition wall; an encapsulation organic layer on the first encapsulation inorganic layer and including an edge overlapping the dummy opening; and a second encapsulation inorganic layer on the encapsulation organic layer.

A liquid crystal display includes a gate line; a data line crossing the gate line; a first voltage line spaced apart from the gate line; a second voltage line, a first transistor including a first gate electrode connected to the gate line, a first source electrode connected to the data line, and a first drain electrode; a second transistor including a second gate electrode connected to the gate line, a second source electrode connected to the data line, and a second drain electrode; a third transistor including a third gate electrode connected to the first voltage line, a third source electrode connected to the second drain electrode, and a third drain electrode connected to the second voltage line; a first liquid crystal capacitor connected to the first drain electrode of the first transistor; and a second liquid crystal capacitor connected to the second drain electrode of the second transistor.

Liquid crystal display

A display apparatus includes a first sub-pixel and a second sub-pixel. The first sub-pixel and the second sub-pixel are electrically and respectively connected to a first gate line and a second gate line adjacent to each other and are electrically connected to a data line. The display apparatus further includes a connection line disposed between sub-pixel electrodes of the first and second sub-pixels. The connection line has two ends connected to the data line and serves as an additional or alternative path for transmitting a data signal that is transmitted by the data line.

A display panel includes a gate driver connected to a gate line, where the gate driver includes a plurality of stages, where each of the stages includes at least one dual gate thin film transistor having a first control terminal and a second control terminal, and where each of the stages receives a clock signal, a first low voltage, a second low voltage, at least one transmission signal of previous stages, at least two transmission signals of subsequent stages and an output control signal from one of the stages to output a gate voltage including a gate-on voltage and a gate-off voltage.

Display panel including dual gate thin film transistor

A display apparatus includes a substrate, gate lines disposed on the substrate, data lines extending across the gate lines, and pixels connected to the gate lines and the data lines. The pixels arranged in a matrix of rows and columns. The pixels disposed in the same columns are alternately connected to data lines disposed to the left or right sides of the column. The pixels may be disposed in different display areas of the substrate. Adjacent pixels in the same columns but in different display areas may be connected to the same data line.

A method for detecting a storage voltage, a display apparatus using the storage voltage and a method for driving the display apparatus. The method for detecting the storage voltage includes applying a test voltage to a storage line in a display panel having an active layer disposed between the storage line and a data line while varying the test voltage, the active layer being in an active state or an inactive state according to the test voltage, and detecting the storage voltage corresponding to the test voltage in an inactive state of the active layer. Thus, the display panel is driven by using the detected storage voltage, so that an aperture ratio may be increased and current consumption may be decreased.

Method for detecting storage voltage, display apparatus using the storage voltage and method for driving the display apparatus

A liquid crystal display device comprises at least two insulating layers formed on a first conductive layer, a second conductive layer formed between the at least two insulating layers, a first contact hole penetrating an upper insulating layer of the at least two insulating layers on the second conductive layer, a second contact hole penetrating the at least two insulating layers and exposing a portion of the first conductive layer, and a contact part comprising a bridge electrode formed of a third conductive layer for connecting the first and second conductive layers through the first and second contact holes. The second contact hole comprises an internal hole penetrating the at least two insulating layers and an external hole surrounding the internal hole forming in the upper insulating layers.
