An information processing apparatus and method capable of minimizing influences affecting business activities and dynamically changing the configuration of a storage apparatus in response to scale-out of hosts are proposed. The information processing apparatus for managing the configuration of the storage apparatus which constitutes a hybrid cloud system is provided with a data acquisition unit and a data copy management unit; and if the data acquisition unit detects the scale-out of the hosts and determines that a first volume, which stores data from the hosts, in the storage apparatus has a high load, the data acquisition unit issues an instruction to the data copy management unit to copy the data and the data copy management unit issues an instruction to the storage apparatus, in accordance with the instruction from the data acquisition unit, to copy the data, regarding which the access frequency from each host is high, to a second volume and to copy the data, regarding which the access frequency from a specified host is high, to a third volume.

A computer system includes one or more storage devices, and one or more processors. The one or more storage devices store permission management information specifying relations between combinations of an information source and an information type and whether sending information from the information source to an external network system is permitted or prohibited. The one or more processor is configured to receive an information transmission request specifying an information type of first information from a first system of an information source, determine whether sending the first information to outside a network system the first system belongs to is permitted with reference to the permission management information, and select a monitoring/analysis server to receive the first information from the monitoring/analysis servers based on the determination.

A computer system includes a server that issues an access request with a virtual volume among the plurality of virtual volumes allocated in a plurality of storage apparatuses as an access target and measures a latency in each access path connecting each storage apparatus and the server, and a plurality of control units which are disposed in each storage apparatus and control the I/O of data. Among the plurality of control units, a main control unit that controls the migration of a migration source virtual volume selects, as a migration destination storage apparatus, one storage apparatus connected to an access path from which was obtained a second measured value, which is a measured value that is smaller than a first measured value indicating a latency in an access path connecting a migration source storage apparatus, which includes the migration source virtual volume, and the server, and indicates a latency in an access path connecting a storage apparatus, other than the migration source storage apparatus, and the server, and allocates a migration destination virtual volume in the migration destination storage apparatus.

A storage device and a data processing method of the storage device are provided which can prevent leaking of data attributed to stealing or taking out of a disk device. The storage device includes: disk adapters, each connected to HDDs which constitute one or more RAID groups; and a management part which manages a storage area provided by the HDDs in a state that the storage area is divided into logical storage areas, and manages the RAID groups. The management part sets an encryption state indicative of whether or not the data is to be encrypted with respect to the RAID groups when all of the disk adapters are connected to the HDDs which belong to the RAID groups are encryption adapters. The management part also encrypts, based on the encryption state set with respect to the RAID groups, and stores the encrypted data in the HDD.
