In an electric three-wheeled vehicle, a centrifugal clutch transmits rotary driving power to a counter shaft when the revolution speed of a motor exceeds a prescribed value. The clutch is coaxially located at one end of a motor output shaft. A counter shaft is located inside the outside diameter of the motor in a side view of the vehicle. The motor output shaft, counter shaft, and axles are arranged from a vehicle forward side in the order of mention. The axis center of the counter shaft is located below a line connecting the axis center of the motor output shaft and the axis center of the axle in a side view of the vehicle.

Electric vehicle

A centrifugal clutch includes vibration isolation ring. The vibration isolation ring reduces or prevents the occurrence of squeaking noises due to the vibration of the clutch outer cover. The vibration isolation ring can be made with a large wall thickness, thereby reducing or preventing deformation of an open-end of a drum wall in the clutch outer cover. The vibration isolation ring has a cylindrical shape and is disposed so as to surround the drum wall at a position substantially corresponding to the location at which a portion of a friction material makes a sliding contact with a drum wall. An end portion of the vibration isolation ring is welded to an outer periphery of the drum wall on a side thereof which is distant from a bottom wall of the clutch outer cover.

Centrifugal clutch, and method of making same

A vehicle radiator device having a radiator with a first tank and a second tank coupled through a heat radiation core. The radiator is mounted onto an engine in a power unit supported by a vehicle body frame. The first and second tanks of the radiator are made of synthetic resin. The radiator is mounted onto the engine through a shroud for conducting cooling wind passing through the radiator. The shroud is made of elastic material for conducting cooling so that vibrations of the engine are absorbed by the elasticity of the shroud, thus preventing vibration of the radiator.

Vehicle radiator device

To reliably prevent the occurrence of a pull out phenomenon in a magnetic driving pump of a vehicle internal combustion engine where permanent magnets, magnetized to have alternate N poles and S poles around an axis of a drive shaft and a driven shaft, are respectively fixed to the drive shaft and the driven shaft. The drive shaft is interlocked with a crankshaft and the driven shaft is coaxially mounted with the drive shaft. Furthermore, the permanent magnets are magnetized to have alternate N poles and S poles 90 degrees or 180 degrees in phase in a peripheral direction.

To suppress vibrations of a power unit which is vertically swingably supported to a vehicle body, thereby suppressing the generation of noise. A vehicle power unit includes an internal combustion engine having a cylinder portion with axis L which is inclined down to the rear side from a vertical direction, and a power transmitting device for transmitting power of the engine to a rear wheel WR. The power unit is supported at a front pivot portion and a rear pivot portion to a vehicle body so as to be vertically swingable about the front pivot portion. A crankshaft and an axle of the rear wheel are located below a plane containing the axes of the front pivot portion and the rear pivot portion. The plane and the cylinder portion intersect each other between the front pivot portion and the rear pivot portion as viewed in side elevation.
