A mobile information processing apparatus of the present invention having a main body and a display unit that opens and closes, attempts to improve heat releasing efficiency by allowing a transfer of heat which is released from a heat generating unit of the main body to the display unit, so that the heat is also spread to the display unit, without making the configuration complex. In order to do so, a thermally conductive material having a flexible property is placed on the main body and the display unit of the mobile information processing apparatus. Further, the thermally conductive material includes a thermally conductive sheet made of a thermally conductive fiber that has a high thermal conductivity and an outer cover such as leather. The thermally conductive sheet will be attached to CPU of the main body.

A display panel with a reduced capacitive coupling. The panel includes a transmission type liquid crystal panel. A lamp is provided adjacent at least one side of a light guide plate to guide the light to the crystal panel. A high frequency current supply is used to power the light. A reflective plate encircles the lamp so as to introduce the light to the light guide plate. A housing is made of a thin metal plate. Each portion of the housing is connected with a common electrical potential. Part of the housing extends away from the reflective plate around the lamp or contains an opening in the same location. By this arrangement, the capacitance between the reflective plate and the housing is made smaller thus reducing the leakage current.

Portable electronic apparatus is effectively provided with a pointing device and a memory card to allow it to be down-sized and made thinner. The portable electronic apparatus comprises an apparatus main body having a storage section for storing the pointing device, the storage section being provided in the inside with a connector for connecting a memory card to the apparatus main body. The pointing device is slid upward to produce a memory card fitting space for fitting the memory card in position within the storage section.

Since the PC card (2) can be set outside, the PC card (2) can be used even for a small electronic apparatus (1) having A6 size, which generally does not have a space for setting the PC card (2) inside.

A mounting structure for mounting a printed circuit board on a frame of an electronic device. The mounting structure comprises a body, a lead, and a threaded portion. The threaded portion is formed on the body, and receives a screw. The printed circuit board is secured to a frame of an electronic device using the mounting structure. Specifically, the mounting structure is secured to the frame using the screw. The lead is soldered to lands on a mounting surface of the printed circuit board by a process for mounting electronic parts (e.g. an IC or LSI package) on the mounting surface of the electronic device.
