A method comprising transformingwith a deletion cassette, constructed by four-round serial PCR, block PCR or total gene synthesis, containing a homologous recombination site is provided for preparing gene-targeted heterozygous deletion. Also provided are gene-targeted hetero2ygous deletionmutants prepared by the method, and a library of gene-targeted heterozygous deletionmutants. Further, the library is useful in constructing a method and a kit for screening a drug's modes of action.

A secondary battery comprising a cathode, an anode, a separator and an electrolyte that comprises a eutectic mixture formed of: an amide group-containing compound, and an ionizable lithium salt. The anode comprises a metal or metal oxide having a potential vs. lithium potential (Li/Li) within electrochemical window of the eutectic mixture. Because the secondary battery uses a eutectic mixture as an electrolyte in combination with an anode having a potential vs. lithium potential (Li/Li) within the electrochemical window of the eutectic mixture, problems such as decomposition of an electrolyte and degradation of the quality of a battery are avoided. Also, due to the thermal and chemical stability, high conductivity and a broad electrochemical window of a eutectic mixture, it is possible to improve the quality as well as safety of a battery.

Secondary battery comprising eutectic mixture and preparation method thereof

Disclosed is a secondary battery including a cathode, an anode, a separator, and an electrolyte, wherein the electrolyte includes a ternary eutectic mixture prepared by adding (c) a carbonate-based compound to a eutectic mixture containing (a) an amide group-containing compound and (b) an ionizable lithium salt, and the carbonate-based compound is included in an amount of less than 50 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the electrolyte. The use of the disclosed ternary eutectic mixture having flame resistance, chemical stability, high conductivity, and a broad electrochemical window, as the electrolyte material, improves both the thermal stability and quality of the battery.

The present invention provides A method for preparing an electrode containing lithium nickel oxide wherein nickel has a single oxidation number, which comprises the following steps: a) preparing an electrode containing the lithium nickel oxide (LiNiO, 0.4&#x3c;x&#x3c;1, 0&#x3c;y&#x3c;1) layer formed on the conductive substrate; and b) applying oxidative voltage to the electrode, and then applying reductive voltage thereto, an electrode prepared by the method and an electrochromic device containing the same. The electrode containing the lithium nickel oxide layer of the present invention exhibits wider optical electrochromic range and fast reaction speed, so that it can contribute to improving electrochromism and other optical properties of an electrochromic device.

Disclosed are viologen derivatives as an electrochromic material having improved stability and lifetime, a metal oxide electrode including the same, and an electrochromic device using the viologen derivative as an electrochromic material. The viologen derivative includes a suitable regulator group capable of increasing &#x394;E that is a potential difference between E(potential at the first redox reaction) and E(potential at the second redox reaction). When &#x394;E increases, the mole fraction of viologen molecules present in the second reduction state decreases. Therefore, it is possible to lower the mole fraction of viologen molecules present in an irreversibly reduced state at an applied potential, thereby increasing the lifetime of an electrochromic material and an electrochromic device.
