A battery replacement apparatus includes a detection device that detects position and orientation of a battery (first battery), a battery mount where a battery (second battery) is placed, the battery mount being capable of being raised, and an adjuster that adjusts position and orientation of the battery that is placed on the battery mount. The battery mount allows the battery to be attached to a vehicle body from below the vehicle body, by being raised below the vehicle body in a state where the battery is placed on the battery mount. The adjuster adjusts the position and the orientation of the battery placed on the battery mount, based on the position and the orientation of the battery detected by the detection device.

Battery replacement apparatus and battery replacement method

A vehicle body includes a cross member that is provided on a floor panel and has a hole, and a nameplate that is joined to an inner face of the cross member. At least a part of the nameplate is exposed from the hole. A hardness of the nameplate is lower than a hardness of the steel plate used in the cross member, and a vehicle identification number is stamped in an area of the nameplate, the area being exposed from the hole.

Vehicle body

Included are a pair of rockers, a floor panel disposed between the rockers, a battery pack disposed beneath the floor panel, a bracket that connects the battery pack to the rockers, and an under cover that covers a lower face of the battery pack. The battery pack includes a tray, a first partitioning plate that is disposed upon the tray and that extends in a front-rear direction, and a plurality of battery cells disposed on both sides of the first partitioning plate upon the tray. The under cover has a first portion and a second portion disposed beneath the tray with a spacing as to the tray. The second portion is situated on an upper side from the first portion. The second portion is disposed beneath the first partitioning plate.

Vehicle and vehicle base structure

A vehicle body lower structure may comprise: a rocker arranged at a lower lateral part of a vehicle body and extending along a front-rear direction of the vehicle body, the rocker being hollow; a power supply package arranged under a floor panel of the vehicle body; and an energy absorbing member fixed to the power supply package and fixed to a bottom plate of the rocker. A side surface of the energy absorbing member located under the rocker may be inclined to face diagonally upward, and a drain hole may be arranged in the bottom plate at a position above the side surface.

Vehicle body lower structure

A battery case is joined to a rocker inner formed toward a vehicle width direction inner side of a rocker. The rocker is provided with rocker outer R/F and rocker inner R/F that respectively form a closed cross-section portion and a closed cross-section portion between themselves and a rocker panel that partitions a closed cross-section portion formed by a rocker outer and the rocker inner in the vehicle width direction.

Vehicle lower section structure

A vehicle body structure includes a load transmission member, a first engagement portion, and a second engagement portion. The load transmission member is disposed at a position overlapping with the power unit in a vehicle front view. The first engagement portion is provided between the load transmission member and the power unit. The second engagement portion is provided between the suspension member and the power unit.
