A semi-hard magnetic material that is formed with equal to or more than 5.0% but less than 13.0% of Ni by mass, equal to or more than 0.5% but equal to or less than 4.0% of Mn by mass, more than 0% but equal to or less than 3.0% of Al by mass, more than 0% but equal to or less than 1.0% of Ti by mass and a remainder of Fe and an impurity, that has a coercivity of 1000 to 2400 A/m and that has a residual magnetic flux density of 1.3 T or more. A method of manufacturing the above semi-hard magnetic material wherein the material is a thin plate having a thickness of 0.030 to 0.30 mm and, after a cold rolling, performing an aging treatment on the thin plate at a temperature of 520&#xb0; C. to 680&#xb0; C.

Semi-hard magnetic material and theft-prevention magnetic sensor using same and method of manufacturing semi-hard magnetic material

Disclosed are: a magnetic shielding material having excellent magnetic shielding property at a low magnetic field; and a magnetic shielding component and a magnetic shielding room each using the magnetic shielding material. Specifically disclosed is a magnetic shielding material comprising the following components (by mass): Ni: 70.0-85.0%, Cu: 0.6% or less, Mo: 10.0% or less and Mn: 2.0% or less, with the remainder being substantially Fe. The magnetic shielding material has a relative magnetic permeability of 40,000 or more under a magnetic field of 0.05 A/m and a squareness ratio (Br/B) of 0.85 or less, wherein the squareness ratio (Br/B) is a ratio of a remanent magnetic flux density (Br) to a maximum magnetic flux density (B) in a DC hysteresis curve produced under the maximum magnetic field of 0.8 A/m.

Magnetic shielding material, magnetic shielding component, and magnetic shielding room

Provided is a composite magnetic member made of a single material combining a ferromagnetic portion and a non-magnetic portion in which the ferromagnetic portion has better soft magnetism than conventional members and the non-magnetic portion has the same stable characteristic as conventional members. A method of producing the ferromagnetic portion of the member and a method of forming the non-magnetic portion are also provided. The composite magnetic member is made of an Fe&mdash;Cr&mdash;C-base alloy steel containing 0.1 to 5.0 weight % Al and has a ferromagnetic portion with a maximum magnetic permeability of not less than 400 and a non-magnetic portion with a magnetic permeability of not more than 2. In this member the number of carbides with a grain size of not less than 0.1 &mgr;m is regulated to not more than 50 in an area of 100 &mgr;m,and the proportion of the number of carbides with a grain size of not less than 1.0 &mgr;m to the number of all carbides is controlled to not less than 15%.

Composite magnetic member, method of producing ferromagnetic portion of same, and method of forming non-magnetic portion of same

This is a composite magnetic member excellent in corrosion resistance having a chemical composition consisting essentially, by weight, of 0.30 to 0.80% C, more than 16.0% but not more than 25.0% Cr, 0.1 to 4.0% Ni, 0.1 to 0.06% N, at least one kind not more than 2.0% in total selected from the group consisting of Si, Mn and Al, and the balance Fe and impurities, and having a ferromagnetic portion and a non-magnetic portion.
