A mounting structure for cylindrical photosensitive member comprises a pair of end plates of the photosensitive member which are detachably mounted on a support shaft, which is locked against axial movement on a stationary frame. The support shaft includes a portion which bears against the internal periphery of the photosensitive member to support it with respect to the shaft, and is also provided with an axially movable guide member. The movement of the guide member is limited to an extent which is useful in mounting and dismounting the photosensitive member on or from the support shaft, by means of a stop mounted on the support shaft. The photosensitive member is mounted on or dismounted from the support shaft with the guide member interposed therebetween.

Mounting structure for cylindrical photosensitive member

A toner collection device including a toner container for collecting therein toner is provided. The present device includes a toner container provided with an inlet opening through which toner is collected, a container holder generally in the shape of a tray for holding thereon said container and means for moving said holder and container in a predetermined fashion. That is, in accordance with the present invention, the container is subjected to a periodic rocking motion such that it moves at an accelerated speed when directed in a predetermined direction and it moves at a slower speed in its returning motion. Thus, when the container is suddenly halted at the end of the going stroke, a heap of toner formed inside the container collapses to make room for further incoming toner. As a result, the packing density of the toner into the container is always insured to be above a predetermined level.

A wet type electrophotographic copying machine of the type capable of performing one copy making process during substantially two revolutions of a photoconductor, which is provided with means for forming a liquid developer deposition portion by charging, exposure and development, on the downstream side of an image formation area on the photoconductor, the liquid developer deposition portion capable of substantially narrowing the gap between the photoconductor and a squeegee roller, whereby the squeezing of excess developer from the surface of the photoconductor can be performed at the squeezing initiation point on the photoconductor, thus attaining a sharp squeezing effect, and the adhesion of the excess liquid developer to an image transfer material can be prevented.
