In a droplet ejection apparatus and a droplet ejection method using the droplet ejection apparatus, the droplet ejection apparatus includes a liquid supply unit, a nozzle and a standing wave generating unit. The liquid supply unit is configured to provide a pressure to a liquid. The nozzle is connected to the liquid supply unit through a connecting conduit, to eject the liquid with a droplet. The standing wave generating unit is configured to generate a standing wave around the nozzle at which the droplet is formed, to detach the droplet from the nozzle.

Droplet ejection apparatus and droplet ejection method using the same

A directional sound apparatus includes a planar shape plate and a sound wave generator. The planar shape plate has a plurality of grooves formed on a surface of the planar shape plate. The sound wave generator is configured to radiate a sound wave to outside from the surface of the planar shape plate. A width of each of the grooves and a distance between the grooves adjacent to each other are smaller than a wavelength of the sound wave. The planar shape plate has a plurality of cell areas in which at least one groove is included. A structure of the groove included in a first cell area is different from that of the groove included in a second cell area adjacent to the first cell area, so that surface admittance in the first cell area is different from that in the second cell area.

In a module for detecting a fingerprint, an electronic device using the module and a method for manufacturing an acoustic control member for the module, the module includes a contact member, a transducer, an impedance matching member, an acoustic control member and a signal processor. A fingerprint makes contact with the contact member. The transducer outputs an ultrasonic signal to the contact member and receives the ultrasonic signal reflected from the contact member. The impedance matching member is charged between the contact member and the transducer, to transmit the ultrasonic signal between the contact member and the transducer. The acoustic control member is inserted between the contact member and the transducer. The impedance matching member is charged inside of the acoustic control member. The signal processor makes electric contact with the transducer, to sense the fingerprint based on the received ultrasonic signal.

The present invention relates to a cochlear implant apparatus, and more particularly, to a cochlear implant apparatus capable of controlling the sensitivity or selectivity of sound through actuators. In accordance with an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, a cochlear implant apparatus for active feedback control which is inserted into the human body and configured to detect a sound in each frequency band includes a sensor unit configured to detect vibration according to a sound and generate an electrical signal corresponding to a magnitude of the vibration and actuators disposed in the sensor unit and each configured to react to the electrical signal and to control sensitivity according to the magnitude of the sound or the selectivity of a sound detected in each frequency band.

Cochlear implant apparatus for active feedback control and active feedback control method for the same

Disclosed herein are a microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) microphone with a dual-back plate, and a method of manufacturing the same. The MEMS microphone according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes: a substrate having a first back plate formed at a central portion thereof; a membrane plate disposed on first support parts formed at both sides on the substrate and vibrated depending on external sound pressure; and a second back plate disposed on second support parts formed at both sides of the membrane plate.

Disclosed herein is an apparatus for measuring adhesive and frictional properties of a polymer hemisphere relative to a contact plate provided in the apparatus. The apparatus comprise a body having a movable table installed to move along an X-axis and Y-axis and a vertical column positioned at a rear side of the movable table, a sample mount provided on the movable table and having a mirror to reflect surface images of a horizontal contact plate, a head assembly located at a front side of the column and having a polymer hemisphere used to press a surface of the contact plate to implement an adhesive force test, a camera device located at a front side of the mirror to capture the surface images of the contact plate during the adhesive force test, and a control device for analyzing various data inputted thereto during the adhesive force test.
