A sole structure for a shoe that can secure cushioning properties and obtain a ground surface information is disclosed. The sole structure includes a first midsole having a plurality of first protrusions on a foot-sole-contact side, an outsole having a plurality of second protrusions on a ground surface side, and a second midsole disposed at a part of a region between the first midsole and the outsole and having a lower compressive rigidity than the first midsole. At least a part of the plurality of first protrusions of the first midsole is located at a position corresponding vertically to at least a part of the plurality of second protrusions of the outsole.

Provided is processing of allowing an information processor to output characteristic information on at least either sports equipment or a method for using the sports equipment by a user, the information processor executing: image acquisition processing acquiring an image of the sports equipment after use, of the sports equipment with a mark attached, or of an installed tool installed, during use of the sports equipment, on the sports equipment; position identification processing identifying a position likely to be damaged of the sports equipment by performing detection of a color change place, a shape change place, or the mark on the image acquired in the image acquisition processing; and information outputting processing outputting the characteristic information based on the position identified in the position identification processing.

A midsole structure of a shoe includes an upper midsole, a lower midsole disposed below the upper midsole, and a wavy sheet interposed between the upper midsole and the lower midsole. The wavy sheet has a wavy shape at its medial and lateral side edge portions and a planar area at its central portion. The lower surface of the upper midsole and the upper surface of the lower midsole have wavy shapes that correspond to the wavy shape of the wavy sheet at their medial and lateral side edge portions and have a planar area that corresponds to the planar area of the wavy sheet at their central portions. The lower surface of the upper midsole and the upper surface of the lower midsole have a plurality of recesses that are disposed in the longitudinal direction at their central portions.

A sole body includes a groove whose inner wall surfaces can be caused to come close to, and separate from, each other with an adjustment mechanism, and a transformable portion provided in the groove, extending between the inner wall surfaces, and elastically deformable. The transformable portion includes: rising portions which are continuous with the inner wall surfaces and extend in the thickness direction of the sole body while the inner wall surfaces have come close to each other; and a coupling portion for coupling the rising portions to each other at one end. A first cavity is provided between the inner wall surfaces and the rising portions, while a second cavity is provided between the rising portions.

A sole body has an upper midsole made of an elastic material, staked over an upper side of a lower midsole, and having, on an upper surface thereof, a planta support surface. The upper midsole has a first recess recessed from the planta support surface in a downward direction and having a bottom, and a second recess recessed from a lower surface of the upper midsole toward the planta support surface, and having a bottom. The first and second recesses are alternately and continuously formed in the width direction of the foot.

A shoe upper of a shoe includes first and second shoe upper sections together surrounding a foot, while covering a tiptoe and a heel of the foot, and a protector provided on part of an outer surface of the second shoe upper section and made of a single type of abrasion resistant resin material. The protector includes a tiptoe protector arranged to correspond to a tiptoe portion of the second shoe upper section, and a medial region protector provided on a medial region, of the second shoe upper section, extending from a backend of the tiptoe protector to a portion of the midfoot. The medial region protector has a deformable portion which has a mesh structure and is more deformable than the tiptoe protector, and a plurality of reinforcement ribs which divide the deformable portion into a plurality of regions.

A simplified sole structure for a baseball spiked shoe can improve cushioning properties of a heel region of the sole structure and can enhance comfort when wearing the shoe. The baseball spiked shoe includes a first midsole of a soft elastic member that is disposed at a heel central portion of the shoe, a second midsole of a soft elastic member that is disposed around and outwardly e.g. horizontally away from the first midsole via a circumferential groove therebetween and that is integrated with or unitary as one unit with the first midsole, and an outsole plate of a hard elastic member that is disposed on lower surfaces of the first and second midsoles, that has a plurality of spikes fitted thereon, and that has a hardness greater than a respective hardness of each of the first and second midsoles.
