An indoor unit included in an air conditioner that includes an outdoor unit includes a power receiving circuit (PR), a low-frequency transmission and reception circuit as a first reception circuit, a high-frequency transmission and reception circuit as a transmission and reception circuit, and an inner-controller. The low-frequency transmission and reception circuit receives a current signal transmitted from an outdoor unit by using a current loop formed by a power line included in power supply wiring. For a first communication state in which physical connection between with the outdoor unit is recognized and a second communication state in which communication for operation of the air conditioner is performed between with the outdoor unit, the inner-controller selects use of the low-frequency transmission and reception circuit and the high-frequency transmission and reception circuit in the first communication state and the second communication state.

Indoor unit

An estimation system estimates the arrangement of objects. The estimation system includes an estimation unit. The estimation unit obtains information related to an arrangement pattern of the objects as first information and obtains, from wireless devices respectively connected to the objects, information including response times between the wireless devices as second information to estimate the arrangement of the objects based on the first information and the second information.

Estimation system and estimation method

A communication failure determination device determines a failure of a communication line in a communication system including two or more communication devices connected in a wired manner by the communication line. The communication failure determination device includes a determination unit. The determination unit acquires communication quality information when communication is performed between the communication devices, and determines whether or not a failure occurs in the communication line based on the communication quality information. The communication devices communicate with each other at a frequency equal to or higher than 100 kHz.

Air conditioning-related equipment includes: a first connection portion to which wiring for transmitting high voltage along with communication is connected; a second connection portion to which wiring dedicated to communication and not to power transmission or wiring for transmitting low voltage along with communication is connected; and a connection circuit that connects the first connection portion and the second connection portion, wherein the connection circuit includes an isolation circuit that blocks power transmission and transmits a signal pertaining to communication.

Air conditioning-related equipment and air conditioning system

System recognition is performed on devices connected to an identical system without recognizing a device of a different system as a device of the identical system in high-frequency communication. In a device network system, an outdoor unit selected from among all outdoor units of a first network performs a recognition process on the outdoor units and indoor units of the first network. In the first network, communication between individual devices including the outdoor units and the indoor units is performed by using a high frequency, and the recognition process performed by the selected outdoor unit uses a recognition signal having a low frequency.

Device network system recognizing devices connected to an identical network system

An air-conditioning apparatus includes a first transmission channel, a plurality of second transmission channels different from the first transmission channel, a controller connected to the first transmission channel and not connected to the second transmission channels, a plurality of air-conditioning indoor units connected to the second transmission channels and not connected to the first transmission channel, and a plurality of air-conditioning outdoor units. The plurality of air-conditioning outdoor units electrically connect the first transmission channel and the second transmission channels, and do not transmit a short-circuit state occurring in one of the first transmission channel and the second transmission channels to a transmission channel other than the one of the first transmission channel and the second transmission channels, thereby enabling communication between devices connected to the transmission channel other than the one.

Communication network system

A communication system includes a first device, second devices, and a communication line providing a serial connection from the first device to the second devices to establish a communication connection. An address setting device of the communication system is configured to set addresses of the second devices. The address setting device includes a communication controller. The communication controller is configured to transmit a transmission signal toward the second devices through the communication line and change at least one of an amplitude or a frequency of the transmission signal, and associate the addresses of the second devices with connection precedence of the second devices to the first device based on a reception signal received through the communication line.

Address-setting device and air conditioning system

In a device network system, system recognition processing that identifies a device connected by a wired line is performed using a low-frequency signal of a frequency lower than a first frequency used in communication, and a signal of the first frequency is used to transmit predetermined instruction information. The low-frequency signal includes first information for connection to a network, and identification information of a group to which a device to which the low-frequency signal is transmitted belongs. The predetermined instruction information is transmitted to a device that has received the low-frequency signal, has registered the first information, and has connected to the network, and for which participation in the network has been approved.

Device network system

A device-registration-work assisting system includes a plurality of notification units, and a mobile terminal carriable by a worker. Each notification unit is built in or disposed near one of a plurality of devices subjected to registration work. The mobile terminal includes a display unit configured to display information regarding each of the devices, and a selection unit configured to select a corresponding one of the devices. The notification unit is configured to notify the worker by light, sound, or motion in response to the corresponding device being selected with the selection unit.

Device-registration-work assisting system

A device-registration-operation assisting apparatus in a device management system including a plurality of devices installed in a building and a management device connected to the devices via a network, assists in an operation to register the devices. The device-registration-operation assisting apparatus includes an emission unit of an electromagnetic wave, and a mobile terminal. The emission unit is integrated into or positioned near one of the plurality of devices. The mobile terminal includes a receiving unit that receives the electromagnetic wave, a display unit that displays information of the device, and an input unit that receives an input of registration information in order to register the device displayed on the display unit in the device management system. The display unit does not display the information of the device for which the registration information is input to the input unit, or changes display of the information.

Device-registration-operation assisting apparatus

In a network in which devices are classified into a plurality of layers, a physical first line is connected to an outdoor unit and a first indoor unit, which are first-layer devices, and a physical second line is connected to a second indoor unit, which is a second-layer device. A first intermediary unit, which is a first intermediary device, includes a first filter always connected to the first line and the second line. The first intermediary unit communicates with the outdoor unit and the second indoor unit via a first signal. The first filter is installed so as not to attenuate a high-frequency first signal used for communication among the outdoor unit, the first indoor unit, the first intermediary unit, and the second indoor unit and so as to attenuate a low-frequency second signal used for communication between the first intermediary unit and the second indoor unit.

Network system

System recognition is performed on devices connected to an identical system without recognizing a device of a different system as a device of the identical system in high-frequency communication. In a device network system, in a state in which a first device group is set in advance as a physically connectable system or in a state in which the first device group is recognized as a physically connectable system, in a case where the first device group or a second device detects occurrence of a state in which the second device outside the system is recognized as belonging to the system, the first device group or the second device causes the second device to leave the system. As a result, a network can be normally maintained even in high-frequency communication.

Network system that facilitates device recognition in a high-frequency communication environment

An air conditioning system includes an outdoor unit and an indoor unit connected to the outdoor unit through an air conditioning communication line. The outdoor unit includes: a control unit; a compressor; a fan; a compressor inverter; a fan inverter; a heat exchanger; and valves of various types. The control unit of the outdoor unit has a coupling capacitor and a noise-cutting transformer which are between a communication circuit and the air conditioning communication line.

Air conditioning system

In an air conditioner, an auxiliary circuit configured to prevent a current flow in a power supply wiring in an operation stop period and to determine whether to adapt an outdoor unit to a unit that is able to transition to a standby mode, is provided on the power supply wiring.

Air conditioner

An indoor unit of an air conditioner includes a relay KR switched by an indoor control circuit between an on state in which the relay KR connects signal and power lines and an off state in which the relay KR disconnects the signal and power lines. An outdoor unit of the air conditioner includes a relay KR switched by an outdoor control circuit between an on state in which the relay KR connects the outdoor control circuit to the AC power supply and an off state in which the relay KR connects the outdoor control circuit to the signal line. The relay KR is switched to the on state with the relay KR in the off state. When the outdoor control circuit is started, the relay KR is switched to the on state, and then the relay KR is switched to the off state, thereby starting the outdoor unit.
