Disclosed is a secondary battery comprising: an electrode assembly in which a first electrode plate, a second electrode plate, and a separator are rolled up; and a support plate which is coupled to one end surface of the electrode assembly where the rolled first electrode plate, second electrode plate, and separator are exposed, so as to support the electrode assembly. A secondary battery according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises a support plate coupled to the lower end of an electrode assembly, whereby, when the secondary battery falls, movements of the electrode assembly can be prevented, and deformation of the electrode assembly due to an external impact can be suppressed.

Secondary battery

The present invention relates to a secondary battery which includes a sheathing made of a material having an increased thermal conductivity and can thus have an improved safety. As an example, disclosed is a secondary battery comprising: an electrode assembly; and a sheath material which receives the electrode assembly and comprises a metal layer and a non-metal layer formed on the surface of the metal layer, wherein the thickness of the metal layer occupies 50% to 70% of the total thickness of the sheath material.

A lithium rechargeable battery in which an anti-rotation groove is integrally formed with a lower recess of a safety vent at a lower surface of a cap plate, and an insulating plate and a terminal plate rest in the anti-rotation groove so that the terminal plate is prevented from rotating when a cap assembly is assembled is provided. In addition, instead of the anti-rotation groove, a resting recess is formed on a lower surface of the cap plate, and the insulating plate and the terminal plate rest in the resting recess, so that the terminal plate is prevented from rotating when the cap assembly is assembled.

Lithium rechargeable battery

A cylindrical lithium rechargeable battery includes a core member made of a material that is softer than steel use stainless and has specific gravity lower than that of steel use stainless. The core member may prevent deformation and breakage of a cap assembly.
