A laminating apparatus includes a roller, an electro-heating shaft, a power transmitting and resilient member and a power transmitting and securing member. The roller is in contact with a thin film, moves through the thin film to heat and laminate the thin film to a sheet material. The electro-heating shaft is wrapped by the roller, transforms electric energy into thermal energy to heat the thin film, and drives rotation of the roller to move through the thin film. The power transmitting and resilient member is in contact with an axial end surface of the electro-heating shaft in an axial direction of the electro-heating shaft for transmitting electricity from a power source to the electro-heating shaft. The power transmitting and securing member is coupled to the electro-heating shaft for compressing the power transmitting and resilient member therebetween, thereby continuously transmitting the electricity from the power source to the electro-heating shaft via the power transmitting and securing member.

The present invention relates to a trimming apparatus operable in an auto mode or a manual mode. The trimming apparatus include a cutter frame, a transmission belt, a motor, a clamping element, a switch and a mode-switching unit. By adjusting the mode-switching unit to control clamping element to clamp or release the transmission belt, the trimming apparatusis operated in either the auto mode or the manual mode.

The present invention provides an expansion system for luggage comprising an upper frame, a lower frame, an expandable section attached between the upper and lower frames, and expansion mechanisms. Each expansion mechanism comprises an upper member attached to the upper frame, a lower member attached to the lower frame and two arms, wherein each arm is pivotally connected to the upper member at one end and is pivotally and slideably connected to the lower member at the other end.

The present invention relates to a shredder having a thickness triggering device. During the shredding operation, the trembling of the article is minimized or eliminated by using the shredder. The shredder includes a sustaining mechanism and a driving assembly. Since the sustaining mechanism is sustained against the shredding article, the amplitude of the trembling article is largely reduced. As a consequence, the influence of the shredding article on the thickness triggering device is reduced so as to prevent interruption of the shredder.

A gear assembly of a laminating apparatus includes a fixed gear device and an adjustable gear device connected between a motor and the fixed gear. The adjustable gear device includes a transmission shaft driven by the motor to rotate, a movable gear sleeved on and slidable along the axial direction of the transmission shaft, and an urging device coupled to the movable gear. The movable gear engages with a fixed gear in an object laminating mode but disengages from the fixed gear in an object releasing mode. For disengaging the movable gear from the fixed gear, an external force is exerted to force the movable gear to move toward and sustain against the urging device, and for restoring the engagement of the movable gear with the fixed gear, the external force is released to have the urging device push the moveable gear back to the engaging position.

The surfaces of a metal pull tab which is hingedly secured to a metal bracket on a zipper slider and/or the surface of the bracket which engages the pull tab is covered by a non-metallic relatively soft coating which prevents wear caused by metal-to-metal contact between the pull tab and the bracket and reduces noise caused by free-swinging contact between the pull tab and the zipper or slider to which it is attached.

A hot laminating apparatus for laminating a sheet material and thin films to be hot laminated has heat shield to keep the working temperature thereof. It includes a transmitting and heating roller disposed at one side of a transmission passage of the hot laminating apparatus for heating a thin film in contact therewith and transmitting the sheet material with the thin films through the transmission passage. The hot laminating apparatus further includes a heat shield disposed around the transmitting and heating roller, and covered with a heat-reflective material on an inner surface thereof for reflecting the dissipated thermal energy back to the transmitting and heating roller.

A roller heating system for a laminating machine comprises a first rolling shaft and a second rolling shaft, wherein the first rolling shaft and the second rolling shaft are parallel with each other, and a heating mechanism is mounted on the respective surface of the two rolling shafts. Then, a heat conduction layer wraps up the respective surface of the above-mentioned rolling shafts as well as the heating mechanisms. When the lamination proceeds, the heat mechanisms firstly heat the heat conduction layers to a working temperature and at the same time, the first and second rolling shafts respectively rotate in a predetermined direction, and then an article covered with laminating plastic films is fed into the roller heating system. The heat conduction layers heat the laminating plastic films to melt the fusion gum of the inner surfaces of the laminating plastic films, and subsequently the laminating plastic films are forced by the compression of the first and second rolling shafts to adhere to the article. Hence, not only good temperature control can be achieved and the lamination quality of the article can be ensured, but also the preheating time of the laminating machine can be shortened and the mechanical construction thereof can be simplified.

A hot laminating apparatus has a single-sided transmitting and heating roller. A heating plate is used instead of a transmitting and heating roller at the opposite side of the transmission passage in order to heat the thin film in contact therewith and cooperate with the single-sided transmitting and heating roller to transmit the thin films to be laminated. The heating plate is efficient in heating the thin film and generally less expensive than the transmitting and heating roller.

A rigid frame travel bag equipped with wheels and a retractable handle is formed with a rigid frame assembly which includes a front panel, a rear panel and a shell in the form of a C-shaped bottom panel. The rigid frame members are constructed of extruded plastic material such as acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer (ABS) or polyvinyl chloride (PVC). For increased strength and reduced weight, each panel is formed with longitudinally extending cells defined by longitudinally extending ribs. The front and rear panels are attached to the C-shaped bottom panel by integrally formed connecting flanges which extend in overlapping engagement with the inside surfaces of end panel portions extending from the bottom panel. The front and rear panels are also attached to and stabilized on one of the end panel portions by wheel assembly support plates.

The present invention provides a shredding module of a paper shredder that can cut more paper with less noise. The shredding module comprises two parallel rotatable shafts and two sets of circular shredding knives installed separately on the two rotatable shafts. Each of the shredding knives is made by punching a thin metal plate with a punching die. The shredding knife comprises a circular plate with a plurality of saw teeth around its circular edge, a circular recess on the circular plate, and a mounting hole positioned at the center of the circular plate. The peripheral portion of the concave side of each shredding knife is rotatably engaged with the peripheral portion of the concave side of a corresponding shredding knife mounted on the other rotatable shaft for cutting intervening paper. Each of the shredding knives further comprises a sloping edge on the circular edge of the convex side for sharpening the saw teeth so that the shredding module can cut more paper with less noise.

A rigid frame garment bag travel case combination is formed in a rectilinear shaped case having opposed openable main compartments which share a common side. Each compartment is bounded by a partial rigid U-shaped frame. Between the openable compartments is a common wall provided with a separate planar frame which protects garments, especially suits or dresses, which may be hung from one compartment across the common side and into the other main compartment and secured by crossing straps. A small fold-out fabric panel attached to the lower edge of a lower main compartment is capable of holding dresses which are longer than both compartments. A larger fold-out panel is attached to one side of both main compartments and has a number of pockets for soft garments. The larger panel is folded over the openable compartments and the smaller panel. It is secured along its edge with a zipper. An additional external compartment is attached to one external side face and an additional second compartment is attached to the opposite external side face. The additional compartment includes exposed wheels and an extendable handle to permit rolling the closed case without lifting and has considerable space within. Multiple accessible pockets are provided for soft garments without opening the case. The rigid frame bag may be hung like a garment bag for loading and unloading of suits and dresses without dumping the soft garments contained in the multitude of pockets.
