According to one embodiment, a display device includes a liquid crystal display panel including a first substrate having a first length and a second substrate having a second length, a dimming panel including a third substrate having a third length and a fourth substrate having a fourth length, wherein the third length is greater than the first length, the second length and the fourth length, the first length is greater than the second length, the third thickness of the third substrate is greater than the first thickness of the first substrate, and the second thickness of the second substrate is greater than the first thickness.

A display device includes a translucent front plate, a plurality of display panels, and a backlight unit. The backlight unit includes a plurality of light guide plates and a light source that causes light to be incident on the light guide plates. Each of the display panels is bonded to the front plate and smaller than the front plate. The light guide plates are disposed facing the respective display panels in one-to-one correspondence.

A display device according to an aspect of the present invention includes: a display body including a curved part; a case including a bottom plate part through which a through hole is provided at a position opposed to the curved part; and a printed circuit board that is fixed to a surface of the bottom plate opposite to the display body side with the electronic component is mounted on a surface opposed to the bottom plate and with the electronic component arranged inside the through hole.

Provided is a liquid crystal display device including a liquid crystal display panel, a fluorescent tube, a holder for retaining the fluorescent tube, and a frame to which the holder is attached. The holder includes an attachment portion for attaching to the frame, and a retaining portion for the fluorescent tube, the retaining portion extending from the attachment portion and facing the frame in a non-contact manner. The retaining portion and the frame have a space formed therebetween.

Provided is a liquid crystal display device including: a liquid crystal display panel; a fluorescent tube disposed on a side opposite to a display surface of the liquid crystal display panel; an electrode holder for retaining the fluorescent tube; a frame to which the electrode holder is attached; a light reflection cover including one of a hole and a notch for allowing the fluorescent tube to pass therethrough, the light reflection cover covering a part of the fluorescent tube and an area of the frame on an outer side of the fluorescent tube; and an elastic body provided on the light reflection cover so as to face the fluorescent tube in a non-contact manner.

An object of the present invention is to provide a liquid crystal display device including a back light in which an electrode support member can be reliably arranged on the base side without concern for thermal expansion. There is provided a liquid crystal display device comprising: a liquid crystal display panel; and a back light arranged on the back surface of the present liquid crystal display panel; wherein the back light is composed of a plurality of bar light sources arranged in parallel in a plane opposing the liquid crystal display panel and a base that supports each of the bar light sources through electrode fittings at electrode sections; wherein the electrode fittings are provided on electrode support members extending in a direction in which the bar light sources are arranged in parallel, in units of the electrode fittings that support a mating electrode section of each bar light source; and wherein the electrode support member includes a portion fixed to the base side at least one point and a portion covered by a projecting portion fixed to the base side at another point, along the extending direction of the electrode support member.

An object of the invention is to provide a liquid crystal display of which a reduction in thickness can be realized without increasing the thickness of a frame member configuring a backlight. Also, another object is to provide a liquid crystal display which secures a sufficient property of insulation from electrode fittings and lamp cables. A liquid crystal display includes a liquid crystal display panel, and a backlight disposed at the back of the liquid crystal display panel, wherein the backlight includes a frame member DFR which is of a rectangular box shape, a plurality of fluorescent lamps FL, disposed inside the frame member, each of which includes an electrode at either end, a first lamp cable CBfor supplying lighting power to one of the electrodes of each fluorescent lamp, a second lamp cable CBfor supplying lighting power to the other electrode of each fluorescent lamp, and a cable guide CG which, being disposed along an inside long-side edge of the frame member, holds the first and second lamp cables, wherein the cable guide includes a first opening through which the first and second lamp cables are led out, and wherein the frame member includes a second opening through which the first and second lamp cables led out from the cable guide are led out to the exterior of the frame member.

Liquid crystal display

The present invention provides a liquid crystal display device which can enhance display quality and reliability by preventing the intrusion of foreign materials to a display screen of a liquid crystal display panel thus preventing the adhesion of the foreign materials to the display screen of the liquid crystal display panel. On an upper surface of a peripheral portion of a split mold frame housing a liquid crystal display panel, rubber cushions which are split in four are arranged at corner portions of the peripheral portion in an adhesive manner. With respect to the split portions of the rubber cushions at the corner portion, on a long-side mold frame, extending portions formed by extending both end portions of the long-side rubber cushion larger than a predetermined length are integrally formed and are arranged in an adhesive manner. On a short-side mold frame, a short-side rubber cushion having a predetermined length is arranged. A connecting portion is formed at the corner portion in a state that the end portions of the long-side rubber cushion and short-side rubber cushion intersect with each other in an approximately T-shape.

A liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal display panel, a backlight and a power supply controlling circuit substrate. The backlight has a rectangular shaped frame member with long and short sides, light sources in rod form within the frame member, and first and second electrode supporting members electrically connected to opposite ends of the light sources. A wire guide member is arranged along one long side of the frame member and holds a wire for electrically connecting at least one of the first and second electrode supporting members to the power supply controlling circuit substrate. The wire guide member has a wire securing portion where the wire is secured and a temporary wire securing portion which at least temporarily secures the wire running between the wire securing portion and the power supply controlling circuit substrate.
