In the method, a signal is mapped to a low-rate OPU of a low-rate ODU, wherein the low-rate ODU comprises an ODU overhead section and the low-rate OPU, the low-rate OPU comprises an OPU overhead section and an OPU payload section, the low-rate ODU has a bit rate of 1, 244, 160 Kbps&#xb1;20 ppm, and the OPU payload section has a bit rate of 1, 238, 954.31 Kbps&#xb1;20 ppm; OPU overhead bytes and ODU overhead bytes are added to corresponding overhead section; then, the low-rate ODU is multiplexed to an Optical channel Data Unit-k (ODUk) that has a bit rate higher than the bit rate of the low-rate ODU; finally, the ODUk is transmitted via the OTN.

Method and apparatus for transmitting a signal in optical transport network

A method and apparatus for low-rate traffic signal transmission on Optical Transport Networks (OTN). The method includes: defining a frame format of the low-rate traffic optical channel data unit (ODU) signal for bearing the low-rate traffic signal; mapping the low-rate traffic signal to the low-rate traffic optical channel payload unit (OPU) of the low-rate traffic ODU signal, generating overhead bytes and filling the bytes in an overhead section of the low-rate traffic ODU to obtain the low-rate traffic ODU signal; multiplexing low-rate traffic ODU signals to an ODUk signal of which the rate matches the transmission rate rank of the OTN where the signal is transmitted, and transmitting the signal via the OTN. A data transmission method is disclosed in the present invention, where the method includes: mapping a data stream to be transmitted to an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing access, OFDMA, sub-carrier; scheduling the OFDMA sub-carrier; multiplexing the OFDMA sub-carrier to generate an OFDMA frame; and transmitting the OFDMA frame. A data transmission apparatus and a data receiving apparatus are also disclosed in the present invention. Through the present invention, a cross connection capability on the basis of the OFDMA sub-carrier is implemented, and in this way, not only all convergence services from a slave node to a master node are supported, but also a private line connection between two slave nodes is supported.

Through controlling the upstream data transmission by multiframes, each T-CONT carries an overhead area regardless of the length, and thus able to carry longer payload as against an equivalent overhead area in the prior art. In this way, the overhead area is saved and the bandwidth utilization is improved.

Between a burst-mode clock and data recovery (BCDR) module and an electrical-optical (E/O) amplification module, the device includes a delimiter matching module and a preamble buffering and compensating module. The delimiter matching module is adapted to receive a data frame sent by the BCDR module and determine a location of a delimiter in the data frame. An optical-electrical (O/E) amplification module performs O/E conversion, amplification, and shaping on the data frame. The BCDR module then performs clock and data recovery processing on the data frame. The preamble buffering and compensating module is adapted to receive and buffer the data frame output from the delimiter matching module, insert a compensation preamble in the data frame according to the location of the delimiter in the data frame determined by the delimiter matching module, and send the data frame to the E/O amplification module according to a retiming clock of a downstream direction. Therefore, the data transmission extension is realized in an optical-electrical-optical (OEO) manner.

The method for transporting LAN signal in an OTN is provided by embodiments of the present invention includes mapping a LAN signal into an adaptation protocol frame; mapping the adaptation protocol frame into a virtual concatenation group comprising at least one 1 Gbps level Optical Channel Data Unit (ODU); multiplying the 1 Gbps level ODU in the virtual concatenation group into a higher order ODU; mapping the higher order ODU into a higher order Optical Channel Transport Unit (OTU); and outputting the higher order OTU to the OTN. Embodiments of the present invention improve the bandwidth utilization rate while implementing the transparent transporting of the LAN signal in the OTN.
