An occupant detection device may be configured to detect an occupant in a space where the occupant detection device is installed. The occupant detection device may include an occupant detection circuit that is configured to determine locations of one or more occupants in the space. The occupant detection device may also include a low-power detection circuit that is configured to indicate an occupancy or vacancy condition in the space. The occupant detection device may include a control circuit that is configured to determine that the low-power detection circuit indicates that there are no occupants within the space. The control circuit may determine that there is movement in an occupant map or a region of interest (ROI) as indicated by the locations of the one or occupants as determined by the occupant detection circuit. The control circuit may configure masked regions around the locations of the movement, and store the masked regions in memory. The movement detected by the occupant detection device within the masked regions may be ignored when determining an occupant count for the space.

Occupant detection device

A method comprises measuring a light intensity at a window; determining if the light intensity exceeds a cloudy-day threshold; operating in a sunlight penetration limiting mode to control the motorized window treatment to control the sunlight penetration distance in the space; enabling the sunlight penetration limiting mode if the light intensity is greater than the cloudy-day threshold; and disabling the sunlight penetration limiting mode if the total lighting intensity is less than the cloudy-day threshold. The cloudy-day threshold is maintained at a constant threshold if a calculated solar elevation angle is greater than a predetermined solar elevation angle, and the cloudy-day threshold varies with time if the calculated solar elevation angle is less than the predetermined solar elevation angle. The cloudy-day threshold is a function of the calculated solar elevation angle if the calculated solar elevation angle is less than the predetermined solar elevation angle.

Method of controlling a motorized window treatment

An apparatus may display a home dashboard screen. The home dashboard screen may include a rooms function that when selected, causes display of a rooms screen. The rooms screen may list rooms. The rooms screen may present a back button that when selected, causes display of the home dashboard screen. When one of the rooms is selected, a room dashboard screen may be displayed. The room dashboard screen may list selectable functions, and may present a back button and a 'Go To Rooms' button either of which when selected may cause display of the rooms screen. When a selectable function is selected, a control screen may be displayed. The control screen may present controls for receiving a control input, and may present a back button that when selected, causes display of the room dashboard screen, and a “Go To Rooms” button that when selected, causes display of the rooms screen.

Communicating with and controlling load control systems

The network device may be configured to define or update a scene for controlling a zone in a certain area or location of a load control system. For example, the load control system may be installed in a residential home or building. At least one lighting control device that is configured to control a corresponding lighting load may be assigned to each of the one or more zones.
