This application provides an image display method and an image display apparatus, and is beneficial to improving uniformity of an image displayed by using a diffractive waveguide, thereby improving user experience. The method is applied to an apparatus including an optical engine and the diffractive waveguide and includes: obtaining uniformity data of a first image obtained by using the diffractive waveguide; determining to-be-compensated data of the optical engine based on the uniformity data; adjusting luminance distribution of a light source in the optical engine based on the to-be-compensated data; and displaying a second image by using the adjusted optical engine and the diffractive waveguide.

A backlight module includes a substrate and light source assemblies. The substrate has a plurality of light emitting regions, and the plurality of light emitting regions are arranged in an array. A plurality of light source assemblies are disposed in the plurality of light emitting regions in a one-to-one correspondence. Each light source assembly includes a plurality of light source members arranged in an array. Each light source member includes a light emitting unit, and a reflective film configured to split light emitted by the light emitting unit. When the reflective film is disposed, the following condition needs to be met: A proportion of light split by the reflective film towards a center of the light emitting region gradually increases in a direction from the center to an edge of the light emitting region in which the light source member is located.

An example backlight module, an example display, and an example mobile terminal are provided. The backlight module includes a backplane having a light reflecting surface, a light source layer disposed on the light reflecting surface, and at least one light mixing component disposed on the light source layer. The light source layer has at least one point light source, and the at least one light mixing component is in a one-to-one correspondence with the at least one point light source. Each light mixing component includes a light reflecting layer configured to reflect some light rays emitted by a corresponding point light source, and a light transmission layer configured to transmit a light ray reflected by the light reflecting layer and further reflected by the light reflecting surface. The light reflecting layer is disposed above the light source layer and is configured to reflect some light rays emitted by the corresponding point light source.

An imaging device is descried herein. The imaging device includes a first imaging structure and a second imaging structure that are respectively and sequentially stacked from bottom to top. The first imaging structure performs amplitude modulation on a light signal based on a first drive signal, and outputs amplitude-modulated light carrying pixel information of a first image and pixel information of a second image, and the first drive signal is determined based on light intensity of the first image and light intensity of the second image. The second imaging structure performs phase modulation on the amplitude-modulated light based on a second drive signal, where phase-modulated light is decomposed into light having two polarization components, which are used when forming the first image and the second image, and the second drive signal is determined based on the light intensity of the first image and the light intensity of the second image.

A display screen, a terminal, and a backlight system, where the backlight system includes a substrate, a plurality of spot light sources, an optical conversion layer, and a light mixing member, where the spot light sources are fastened onto the substrate in a mutually spaced manner. The optical conversion layer is stacked on the substrate and covers the spot light sources. The optical conversion layer is configured to convert, into a white surface light source, light emitted by the spot light sources. The light mixing member is located on a surface of the optical conversion layer or embedded into the optical conversion layer. The light mixing member is configured to mix the light. The backlight system emits light evenly and has a relatively small thickness.
