An apparatus for display includes an active region, a gate scanning driver, and light emitting driver. The active region includes a plurality of subpixels. The gate scanning driver is operatively coupled to the active region and configured to scan the plurality of subpixels in a first period of each frame at a first rate. The light emitting driver is operatively coupled to the active region and configured to cause the plurality of subpixels to start emitting light in a second period of each frame at a second rate. The second rate is higher than the first rate. The second period overlaps the first period.

Asynchronous control of display update and light emission

An apparatus includes an active region, a source driving circuit, and a light emitting driving circuit. The active region includes an array of light emitting elements corresponding to an array of pixels arranged in M rows and N columns. The number of the array of light emitting elements is k times of the number of the array of pixels. The apparatus includes xM light emitting lines and (k/x)N source lines, wherein x is a positive fraction, and each of xM and (k/x)N is a positive integer. The source driving circuit is operatively coupled to the active region via the (k/x)N source lines and configured to write display data of a frame to the array of light emitting elements. The light emitting driving circuit is operatively coupled to the active region via the xM light emitting lines and configured to cause the array of light emitting elements to emit light.

Distributive-driving of display panel

An apparatus includes a display panel and one or more drivers operatively coupled to the display panel. The display panel includes an array of pixels divided into at least a first zone and a second zone, each of which is associated with a plurality of display attributes. The drivers are configured to receive control signals, and drive the array of pixels based, at least in part, on the control signals so that a first value of at least one of the plurality of display attributes associated with the first zone is different from a second value of the at least one of the plurality of display attributes associated with the second zone.

Zone-based display data processing and transmission

An apparatus includes an active region, gate lines, source lines, a gate driver, and a source driver. The active region includes a plurality of subpixels. The subpixels correspond to an array of pixels arranged in M rows and N columns. The number of the subpixels is k times of the number of the pixels. The apparatus includes xM gate lines and (k/x)N source lines, where x is a fraction between 1 and 2, and each of xM and (k/x)N is a positive integer. The gate driver is operatively coupled to the active region via the xM gate lines and configured to scan the plurality of subpixels. The source driver is operatively coupled to the active region via the (k/x)N source lines and configured to write display data in a frame to the plurality of subpixels.

A layout method applied to a connector is provided. The connector is electrically connected between a flexible printed circuit (FPC) and a printed circuit board (PCB). The FPC includes M pairs of differential lines and X shield lines. The PCB includes M pairs of differential lines and Z shield lines. The layout method includes following steps. Firstly, M pairs of conductive lines are disposed on the connector. The M conductive lines are correspondingly electrically connected to the M differential lines of the FPC and the M differential lines of the PCB. Then; Y conductive lines are disposed on the connector, wherein Y is smaller than X. Furthermore, at least one of the Y conductive lines is electrically connected to at least one of the X shield lines and at least one of the Z shield lines.
