A wireless communication device is provided. The wireless communication device includes a circuit board, an antenna module, a housing and a metal pattern unit. The antenna module is coupled to the circuit board, wherein the antenna module transmits a wireless signal, the antenna module defines a first FOV area and a second FOV area, and the first FOV area differs from the second FOV area. The housing covers the antenna module, wherein a lid portion of the housing corresponds to the first FOV area, and the lid portion has a first equivalent dielectric constant. The metal pattern unit corresponds to the second FOV area, the metal pattern unit causes a second equivalent dielectric constant, and the first equivalent dielectric constant differs from the second equivalent dielectric constant.

Wireless communication device

A system receives a neural network model that includes asymmetric operations. Each asymmetric operation includes one or more fixed-point operands that are asymmetrically-quantized from corresponding floating-point operands. The system compiles a given asymmetric operation of the neural network model into a symmetric operation that includes a combined bias value. A compiler computes the combined bias value is a constant by merging at least zero points of input and output of the given asymmetric operation. The system then generates a symmetric neural network model including the symmetric operation for inference hardware to execute in fixed-point arithmetic.

Compiling asymmetrically-quantized neural network models for deep learning acceleration

A method for evaluating radio performance of a device under test (DUT) comprises the following steps. A first set of points, a second set of points and a third set of points are defined to locate on a sphere surrounding the DUT. A signal power of the DUT is evaluated at the first set of points to identify a first region related to the first set of points. Candidates of the second set of points are selected based on the first region. The signal power of the DUT is evaluated at the candidates of the second set of points to identify a second region related to the second set of points. Candidates of the third set of points are selected based on the second region. The signal power of the DUT is evaluated at the candidates of the third set of points to identify a beam peak.

Method and system for evaluating radio performance

A testing method for determining radiation performance of a device under test (DUT) is disclosed. The testing method comprises the following steps. The DUT is arranged at a first orientation. A first effective isotropic radiated power (EIRP) and a first effective isotropic sensitivity (EIS) of the DUT are measured at the first orientation. The DUT is arranged at a second orientation different from the first orientation, and a second EIRP of the DUT is measured at the second orientation. A second EIS of the DUT is measured at the second orientation according to a correlation between the first EIRP, the first EIS and the second EIRP.

Testing method and testing system for evaluating radio device

A communication apparatus equipped with switchable antenna mechanism is provided, where the communication apparatus includes at least a portion of a portable electronic device, which includes a plurality of wireless communication functions respectively corresponding to different communication standards, and the wireless communication functions include a mobile phone function and at least one other wireless communication function. The communication apparatus includes: an antenna; a processing circuit; a plurality of processing modules arranged to provide the portable electronic device with a plurality of functions, respectively, where the functions include at least a portion of the wireless communication functions; and a switching unit. It is an advantage that, by utilizing the switching unit, different portions of the communication apparatus can share the antenna to achieve the best beneficial result through the limited area of a printed circuit board (PCB).

Communication apparatus equipped with switchable antenna

A wideband antenna includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a ground plane, an exciting element, a connection element, a first branch, a second branch, and a coupling branch. The ground plane is disposed on the first substrate. The exciting element is disposed on the second substrate and has a feed point coupled to a signal source. The connection element is disposed on the second substrate and coupled to the ground plane. The first branch is disposed on the second substrate and coupled to the connection element. The second branch is disposed on the second substrate and coupled to the connection element. The coupling element is disposed on the second substrate and coupled to the connection element. The distance between the coupling element and the second branch is smaller than 5 mm.

Wideband antenna

An apparatus for controlling electric field distribution is provided, where the apparatus includes at least one portion of a portable electronic device, the portable electronic device includes a plurality of wireless communication functions respectively corresponding to different communication standards, and the plurality of wireless communication functions includes a mobile phone function and at least one other wireless communication function. The apparatus includes: a main antenna, connected to a first side of a PCB of the portable electronic device, for performing the mobile phone function; and a plurality of short trace structures, positioned at the first side of the PCB and connected to the PCB, wherein at least one of the plurality of short trace structures is selectively utilized as at least one short trace or utilized as at least one secondary antenna corresponding to the at least one other wireless communication function.

Apparatus for controlling electric field distribution by utilizing short trace structures

A mobile communication device for operating in LTE and WWAN bands is provided in the invention. The mobile communication device includes a system circuit board and an antenna. The system circuit board includes a system ground plane. The antenna includes: an antenna substrate, substantially parallel to the system ground plane; a first radiation element, disposed on the antenna substrate; a second radiation element, disposed on the antenna substrate; an antenna ground plane, disposed on the antenna substrate, and coupled to the system ground plane; and a transmission line, disposed on the antenna substrate, coupled to the first and second radiation elements, and having a feed point. The mobile communication device is further configured to accommodate a data transmission component.

Mobile communication device and antenna device

A portable communication apparatus includes a first antenna radiator, a second antenna radiator, a first feeding point, a second feeding point, and a matching circuit. The first antenna radiator is used for radiating a high-frequency band signal. The second antenna radiator is used for radiating a low-frequency band signal. The first feeding point is coupled to the first antenna radiator and is utilized for processing feed-in or feed-out of the signal of first antenna radiator. The second feeding point is coupled to the second antenna radiator and is utilized for processing feed-in or feed-out of the signal of second antenna radiator. The first feeding point is separate from the second feeding point. The matching circuit is coupled to the first and second feeding points, and used for impedance matching with the first antenna radiator and the second antenna radiator.

Portable communication apparatus

A circular polarization antenna includes a substrate, a ground plane, a tuning stub, a feeding element, and a cavity structure. The substrate has a first surface and a second surface. The feeding element is disposed on the first surface of the substrate. The ground plane is disposed on the second surface of the substrate and has a hole. The tuning stub is disposed on the second surface of the substrate and connected to the edge of the hole. The cavity structure is connected to the ground plane and configured to reflect an electromagnetic wave.

Circular polarization antenna

A wideband antenna includes: a substrate, having a first surface and a second surface; a ground plane, disposed on the second surface; an exciting element, disposed on the first surface, and having a feed point coupled to a signal source; a connection element, disposed on the first surface, and coupled to the ground plane; a first branch, disposed on the first surface, and coupled to the connection element; a second branch, disposed on the first surface, and coupled to the connection element; and a coupling element, disposed on the first surface, and coupled to the connection element.

A portable electronic device is provided. The portable electronic device includes a housing, a circuit board, an amplifier, an antenna and a short element. The circuit board is disposed in the housing, wherein the circuit board includes a first edge and a second edge, and the first edge is opposite to the second edge. The amplifier is disposed on the circuit board and adjacent to the first edge. The antenna is disposed on the second edge of the circuit board, wherein the antenna transmits a wireless signal. The short element is disposed on the second edge of the circuit board, wherein the short element is separated from the antenna, and the short element couples with the antenna to reduce Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) value around the amplifier.

Portable electronic device

An antenna module is provided. The antenna module includes a radiator, a feed pin, a ground element, a first parasitic arm, a second parasitic arm and an impedance matching unit. The radiator includes a first section and a second section, wherein an end of the first section is connected to the second section, and the first section is perpendicular to the second section. The feed pin is connected to another end of the first section. The first parasitic arm is parallel to the second section, wherein an end of first parasitic arm is connected to the ground element, and the first parasitic arm couples with the second section of the radiator. The impedance matching unit is connected to the second section and the ground element. The second parasitic arm is partially parallel to the first section, and the second parasitic arm couples with the first section of the radiator, and an end of the second parasitic arm is connected to the ground element.

Antenna module

An antenna is provided. The antenna includes a radiator, a feed conductor and a ground conductor. The radiator includes a body and a parasitic element. An aperture is formed on the body, and the body encloses the aperture. The parasitic element is connected to the body and extended into the aperture, wherein the parasitic element is connected to the body at a parasitic location. The feed conductor is connected to the body, wherein a signal, fed to the body by the feed conductor, travels on the body, and passes the parasitic location to the parasitic element. The ground conductor is connected to the body.
