An electrical connector includes an elongate insulative housing defining a central slot extending along a longitudinal direction, and two rows of contacts disposed by two sides of the central slot. The housing forms a front receiving cavity to receive the corresponding mating tongue of the complementary connector, and a rear receiving cavity to receive the corresponding insulators wherein each insulator is integrally formed with each row of contacts via insert-molding for completing the whole contact module. Each grounding contact is equipped with the corresponding EMI absorber before being insert-molded within the insulator so as to have the corresponding EMI absorber also integrally formed with the insulator.

A terminal module includes: a conductive terminal to be contacted and cooperated with a mating terminal, the conductive terminal including a base and a mating end at a front of the base, the mating end including a contact portion to be contacted and cooperated with the mating terminal and a front end portion at a front end of the contact portion; and a plastic part, wherein the plastic part is arranged at the front end portion so that a gap between the contact portion of the conductive terminal and the mating terminal is less than 0.1 mm after cooperated.

Terminal module and mating assembly thereof

An electrical connector includes an insulative housing with a base and a mating tongue forwardly extending from the base in a front-to-back direction, and a plurality of contacts retained in the housing. The contacts include a plurality of differential-pair contacts and a plurality of grounding contacts alternately arranged with each other in the transverse direction. A metallic grounding plate is forwardly inserted into the horizontal center slot of the mating tongue with at least two sets of spring tangswelded to spaced positions of the corresponding grounding contacts, respectively so as to have each grounding contacts mechanically and electrically connected with the grounding plate at at least two spaced positioned in the front-to-back direction.

An electrical connector includes: an insulating housing; and plural terminals held in the insulating housing and arranged in terminal pairs, each of the terminals including: a holding portion held in the insulating housing; a cantilever extending forward from the holding portion, a slot being provided on the cantilever; a contact portion at a front of the cantilever; and a mounting portion for mounting on a circuit board; wherein the slot extends to the contact portion; and in each terminal pair, a first distance from a center of the contact portion of one terminal thereof to a center of the contact portion of the other terminal thereof is less than a second distance from a center of the mounting portion of one terminal thereof to a center of the mounting portion of the other terminal thereof.

An electrical connector includes an insulative elongated housing, and a plurality of contacts retained to the housing. The housing includes a base extending along the longitudinal direction and a mating tongue extending forwardly from the base in a front-to-back direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. Each contact includes a contacting/mating section exposed upon the mating tongue. The contacts include a plurality of differential-pair signal contacts and a plurality of grounding contacts alternately arranged with each other along the longitudinal direction. Each differential-pair signal contact is associated with a metallic wiping piece in front with a tiny gap so as to have the distance between the rear end of the contacting section and the front edge of the wiping piece is still equal to 3.9 mm which is regulated by the industry standard specification as a full length of the contacting section of the traditional contact.

An electrical connector includes an outer conductor and an inner conductor coaxially arranged with each other with an insulator therebetween. The outer conductor includes a base and a plurality of arc protrusions formed on a rear face of the base and coaxially sharing the same circle center. The protrusions are optimally located around a peripheral region of the circle defined by the cross-section of the cylindrical contour. A metallic box includes a top wall, opposite front and rear walls and opposite two side walls. The front wall forms a plurality of arc holes coaxially arranged with regard to a common center so as to snugly receive the corresponding arc protrusions of the outer conductor, respectively.

RF electrical connector

An electrical connector includes an insulative housing defining a space. A connection module is received within the space. The connection module includes a pair of contact modules commonly sandwiching a grounding module therebetween in the transverse direction. Each contact module includes a plurality of contacts integrally formed within the corresponding insulative wafer via insert-molding. The grounding module includes a grounding plate embedded within an insulative wafer. The grounding plate forms a plurality of fingers respectively electrically and mechanically connecting to the corresponding grounding contacts of the contact modules. The wafer forms a plurality of transverse grooves to receive corresponding grounding bars each having a plurality of inward parts respectively mechanically and electrically connecting to the grounding plate, and a plurality of outward parts respectively mechanically and electrically connecting to the grounding contacts of the contact modules.

An electrical connector with a contact module includes an insulative body, a plurality of contacts retained to the body, and a grounding bar embedded within the body. The contacts include a plurality of differential pair contacts and a plurality of grounding contacts. The ground bar forms a plurality of spring tangs. The body forms a plurality of cavities and the corresponding spring tangs of the grounding bar extend into the corresponding cavities to contact the corresponding grounding contacts. Conductive adhesive is filled within each cavity and solidified to secure all the spring tang, the corresponding grounding contact and the body together. The electrical connector is formed by a pair of contact modules back to back secured to together by an insulative case either by assembling or via an over-molding process. The cavities and the corresponding conductive adhesive of each contact module is hidden from the exterior.

An electrical connector includes an insulative housing and a plurality of contacts retained therein. The housing forms a central slot along a longitudinal direction, and includes a base, opposite first wall and second wall extending from the base and located by two sides of the central slot. The contact includes a retaining section retained to the corresponding first or second wall, and a spring arm with a contacting section at a free end, extending from the retaining section and into the central slot wherein a width/thickness ratio in the contacting section is set within a range between 0.8&#x2dc;1.28.

A hermetic electrical adaptor including a first insulative body, a second insulative body, a plurality of contacts, a first glue body and a second glue body. The contact has a main body and first and second contacting sections located at two opposite ends of the main body. The first insulative body has a first base and a first tongue, and the second insulative body has a second base and a second tongue. The second base forms a receiving cavity to receive the first base. The first contacting section is disposed upon the first tongue, and the second contacting section is disposed upon the second tongue. The first insulative body is integrally formed with the contacts as a contact module before assembled with the second insulative body. The first base forms in a back side a receiving space to receive the first glue body.
