An image of a receipt may be received by a service provider from a user device of a user. The receipt may be a record of a transaction between the user and a physical merchant. The service provider may extract text from the image and apply a predictive model trained on text data of historical receipts to the extracted text to identify keywords corresponding to items purchased in the transaction. The service provider may generate a shopping list for the user and/or may compare the keywords to descriptions of catalog items in an online catalog maintained by the service provider to identify catalog items that are the same or similar to the purchased items. The service provider may associate the catalog items with the user's account maintained by the service provider and generate a user interface to present on the user device that includes an indication of the catalog items.

Disclosed are various embodiments for implementing wireless service for a wireless device. In a representative embodiment, a service initiation system is executed in a computing device that communicates with a service provider system over a network to activate a wireless service associated with a newly purchased wireless device. The service initiation system also generates a network page to send to a client over the network, where the network page has a component that initiates a porting of a contact designation associated with a prior wireless device to the newly purchased wireless device separate from the activation of the wireless service for the newly purchased wireless device.

Customer ratings for a plurality of wireless carriers are collected in one or more computing devices. Each of the customer ratings is associated with a corresponding geographic location. A target geographic location is obtained from a client. A network page is generated including one or more maps showing a region encompassing the target geographic location. The maps indicate an aggregate customer rating for one or more of the wireless carriers for the region. The aggregate customer rating is determined based at least in part on a subset of the customer ratings that are associated with geographic locations that are encompassed by the region.

Disclosed are various embodiments for providing dynamic item pricing to a customer during online shopping and/or purchasing of wireless devices. In a representative embodiment, a dynamic pricing system is executed in a computing device that generates a network page to send to a client device over a network, the network page including a price for a specified wireless device. The dynamic pricing system communicates with the client device over the network to obtain a selected service plan associated with the specified wireless device. The dynamic pricing system determines an updated price for the specified wireless device in response to the selected service plan for access by the customer.

Disclosed are various embodiments for processing orders for wireless service. An order for a wireless device and a wireless service plan is obtained in at least one computing device from a client. The wireless service plan is provided by one of a plurality of wireless carriers. A unique identifier of the wireless device is obtained from a fulfillment system after the wireless device has been pulled from an inventory for fulfillment. A request for activation of the wireless device and the wireless service plan is sent to a system of the one of the wireless carriers. The unique identifier is provided in the request to the system of the one of the wireless carriers.

Processing orders for wireless service

Disclosed are various embodiments for generating bundle uniform resource locators (URL). A URL is generated that contains a parameter with a value corresponding to a product available in the electronic commerce system. At least one parameter with a value corresponding to configurable features of the product is also encoded in the URL. The URL parameters are validated to determine whether the product and configurable features are compatible.
