A method of adjusting a write strategy of a recordable disc comprises steps of: generating a test pattern on a power calibrating area of the recordable disc according to a first write strategy and a first write power; establishing a Pit-to-Land Inter-Symbol Interference table and a Land-to-Pit Inter-Symbol Interference table through measuring a plurality of Pits and Lands with different time lengths in the test pattern; and generating a second overdrive power by adjusting a first overdrive power of the first write strategy according to the Pit-to-Land Inter-Symbol Interference table and the Land-to-Pit Inter-Symbol Interference table.

A method of adjusting a write strategy of a recordable disc comprises steps of: generating a test pattern on a power calibrating area of the recordable disc according to a first write strategy, a first write power, and a first target &#x3b2; value; establishing a Pit-to-Land Inter-Symbol Interference table and a Land-to-Pit Inter-Symbol Interference table by measuring a plurality of Pits and Lands with different time lengths in the test pattern; generating an updated timing parameter set by adjusting a timing parameter set of the first write strategy according to the Pit-to-Land Inter-Symbol Interference table and the Land-to-Pit Inter-Symbol Interference table; and generating an updated target &#x3b2; value according to the updated timing parameter set.

The present invention discloses a method for dynamically detecting writing quality of a recordable optical disc. According to the method, firstly a current detecting position located on a program area of the recordable optical disc is set. Then the recordable disc drive proceeds data recording in the program area with an optimal write power. The recordable disc drive paused data recording when a recording position exceeds or is equal to the current detecting position. Then the recordable disc drive reproduces pre-recorded data in the tracks of the recordable optical disc to perform OPC for modifying the optimal write power and calculating a jitter value. Thereafter a following detecting position is modified based on the jitter value and data recording is restarted in the program area with the modified optimal write power until the recording position exceeds or is equal to the modified following detecting position.
