A method for programming a robot in a vision base coordinate is provided. The method includes the following steps. A robot is drawn to an operation point. The coordinates of the operation point in a photo operation are set as a new point. A teaching image is captured and a vision base coordinate system is established. A new point is added according to the newly established vision base coordinate system. When the robot is operating, the robot is controlled to capture an image from a photo operation point. A comparison between the captured image and a teaching image is made. The image being the same as the teaching image is searched according to the comparison result. Whether the vision base coordinate system maintains the same corresponding relation as in the teaching process is checked. Thus, the robot can be precisely controlled.

A method for teaching a robotic arm to pick or place an object includes the following steps. Firstly, the robot arm is pushed until a target appears within a vision. Then, an appearance position of the target is set as a visual point. Then, a first image is captured. Then, the robot arm is pushed to a target position from the visual point. Then, the target position is set as a pick and place point. Then, an automatic movement control of the robot arm is activated. Then, the robot arm automatically picks and places the object and returns to the visual point from the pick and place point. Then, a second image is captured. Then, a differential image is formed by subtracting the second image from the first image, the target image is set according to the differential image, and image characteristic of the target are automatically learned.

Method for fabricating an interposer is provided. A substrate is provided having thereon at least a conductive via and at least a flange. The flange is bonded on the substrate and shades a portion of the via. A photoresist layer is formed on the interior surface of the via, on a contact surface of the flange and on an inner surface of the flange opposite to the contact surface. An opening is formed in the photoresist layer to expose a portion of the contact surface of the flange, while the photoresist layer still covers the interior surface of the via and the inner surface of the flange. A plating layer is formed on the exposed contact surface of the flange. The photoresist layer is then removed.

A method of manufacturing a connector is provided. Firstly, a substrate having a first surface, a second surface opposite to the first surface and a through hole is provided. Next, a first conductive layer covering the inside wall of the through hole is formed on the substrate. Then, a filler is filled in the through hole to form a filler post. Next, a conductive elastic cantilever is formed over the first surface and electrically connected to the first conductive layer. Then, a gold layer is formed on the conductive elastic cantilever and over the first surface. A solder ball electrically connected to the first conductive layer is formed over the second surface.

The disclosure discloses a compensation method in a radial direction on a label side of an optical disc. An optical disc is inserted into an optical disk drive. The data side of the optical disc is divided into at least one compensation area. An optical pick-up head (OPU) is moved from inner to outer rings by simulating a writing process. The OPU is moved to some pre-determined points and radial-directional compensation is performed to obtain radial-directional voltage gains at the pre-determined points. The voltage gains are recorded. The label side of an optical disc is inserted into the optical disk drive. The simulated track number is calculated on the basis of the required moving distance for the OPU to write pattern on the label side. The OPU is moved to write the label side by a radial-directional lens driving voltage compensated with a gain obtained from a compensation formula.

A method for calibrating a focus level on a light scribe disc includes driving a pick-up head with a predetermined speed in a predetermined direction to calibrate a focus level for a moving stage, detecting light summed signals along the light path of the moving stage, and finding and recording the maximum light summed signal and corresponding position of the pick-up head as the focus level for the moving stage. When a number of the moving stages is greater than a predetermined value, the focus level of the moving stage serves as the optimum focus level of the light scribe disc. When the number of moving stages is fewer, lowering the speed with a stage reduction and change the direction opposite to the predetermined direction, and proceeding to a next moving stage to calibrate the focus level.

Method for calibrating focus level on a light scribe disc

A focusing control method on a light-scribed disc firstly focuses a base voltage on a label side. Light summed signals are detected and recorded. The biggest light summed signal is determined, and subtracts the light summed signal of each spoke to form an error signal. The error signal is multiplied by a gain to form a gain signal. The base voltage adds the gain signal to form an upper referring voltage, and subtracts the gain signal to form a lower referring voltage. The label side is focused with the upper referring voltage and the lower referring voltage respectively. The light summed signals are detected and recorded, to determine the biggest light summed signal of each spoke. According to the corresponding voltage of the biggest light summed signals, a focusing control curve is approached to determine optimum parameters.

Focusing control method for label side of lightscribe discs

The present invention is to provide an apparatus and method for calibrating focus balance in an optical disk drive. A focus servo unit controls a pick-up head to focus and read a mark for generating an RF signal. A jitter generator separates a jitter signal from the RF signal to form a jitter frequency. A focus balance unit compares sequential jitter frequencies to check the convergence and the goal, and determines the direction and variable of calibrating focus balance to generate an error signal. A compensator receives the error signal through the focus servo unit to control the pick-up head for calibrating focus balance.

Apparatus and method for calibrating focus balance in an optical disk drive

A method for discriminating the operation type of a disk device uses an optical head carrying an objective lens. The gravity doesn't affect the control force of the optical head in the horizontal operation type, reduces the control force in a vertical operation type, and increases the control force in inverse operation type. Control forces based on various operation types forms different motion features of the optical head to discriminate the operation type. Damping characteristic parameters of each operation type of the optical head are previously determined by test first. The Control force is transported to the optical head, and the timer is reset. The displacement of the optical head is continuously detected till reaching a predetermined situation. The time of timer is read to compare with the threshold of each operation type for distinguishing the operation type.

Method for discriminating operation type of a disk device

A temperature compensating method and apparatus uses a front sensor to measure a first power of a light-emitting unit emitting a light, and a thermal sensor to measure the temperature of the light-emitting unit. The temperature is inputted into an I/O unit to figure out a second power from the equations of the temperature and power. Then, the first and second powers are inputted into a controller to adjust the power of the light-emitting unit, or the second powers are inputted into a write strategy to change an output clock to adjust the energy of the light without changing the power of the light-emitting unit. The optical disc device has the effect of the temperature compensation.
