The invention relates to a stationary phase medium for adsorption chromatography, which is in form of porous particles suitable for being packed into a chromatographic column. The porous particles are made of cross-linked polymeric material and formed with interconnected macropores to constitute a porous network, through which a mobile phase fluid may flow in a convective manner. The porous particles are substantially free of diffusive pores and, thus, the mass transfer through the porous network is governed by convection alone. The porous particles are fabricated to have irregular granular configurations with rough outer surfaces, so that the convective flow between the porous particles will not be impeded during chromatography process.

The present invention relates to a method for producing a three-dimensional ordered porous microstructure. In the method of the invention where the three-dimensional ordered microstructure is produced using the colloidal crystal templating process, the three-dimensional ordered microstructure thus formed is subjected to heat treatment to soften the particles, so as to effectively increase the contact between orderly arranged particles while removing the solvent used to suspend the particles. The present invention further relates to a monolithic column produced thereby. Compared to the monolithic columns produced by conventional methods, the monolithic column according to the invention is characterized in having a higher aspect ratio and a higher pore regularity, while the connecting pores in the column are relatively large in pore size.

Method for producing three-dimensional ordered porous microstructure and monolithic column produced thereby

The present invention relates to an extension barrel, which comprises an outer tube and a dye coating module. The outer tube is provided at the rear end thereof with a connector portion adapted for connection to a front end of a pneumatic gun. The dye coating module is mounted within the outer tube, so that a bullet projected from the pneumatic gun is coated with dye having a desired color when passing through the dye coating module. As a result, the object hit by the bullet is stained with the color and can be easily identified.
