The present invention includes a CDR circuit including a phase detector, a neural network circuit, a controller and a clock signal generator is disclosed. The phase detector is configured to use a clock signal to sample an input signal to generate a plurality of phase detection results. The neural network circuit is coupled to the phase detector, and is configured to receive the plurality of phase detection results to determine information of a frequency difference between the clock signal and the input signal. The controller is configured to generate a control signal according to the information of the frequency difference between the clock signal and the input signal. The clock signal generator is configured to use the control signal to adjust a phase or frequency of the clock signal outputted to the phase detector.

A method for relocating a mobile vehicle in a simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) map is provided. The method can be used in the mobile vehicle moving in an area and includes: using SLAM to establish the SLAM map that corresponds to the area at an initial time point; detecting, by a non-SLAM positioning device, a first position trajectory and a first azimuth trajectory of the mobile vehicle on the SLAM map; detecting, by a SLAM positioning device, a loss probability of the mobile vehicle between a first timestamp and a second timestamp; determining whether a condition is satisfied; and updating the SLAM map to a new SLAM map corresponding to a current time point and updating positioning information of the mobile vehicle in the new SLAM map when the condition is satisfied at the current time point.

The present disclosure provides a waveguide structure including an optical component. The optical component includes a plurality of grating coupler teeth over a semiconductive substrate and a plurality of grating coupler openings between adjacent grating coupler teeth, wherein the grating coupler openings are configured to receive a light wave. Each of the grating coupler teeth includes a dielectric stack and an etch stopper embedded in the dielectric stack, wherein the etch stopper has a resistance to a fluorine solution that is higher than that of the dielectric stack. The present invention provides a CDR circuit including a first phase detector, a controller and a phase filter. In the operations of the CDR, the first phase detector is configured to compare a phase of an input signal and a phase of a clock signal to generate a first phase detection result. The phase filter is configured to receive the control signal and an auxiliary signal to generate the clock signal, wherein the auxiliary signal is generated according to the first phase detection result.

A motion guiding apparatus includes a guiding device and a mobile unit. The guiding device includes a main body, an arm piece, and a linear light source. The main body is in connection with the arm piece and arranged on a reference surface. The linear light source is arranged on the arm piece and forms a reference light line on the reference surface and a direct light line on the main body. The mobile unit is capable of capturing an image showing the reference light beam, the direct light beam, and a reflected light line. The mobile unit can also compute an angle formed between the reference light line and the reflected light line to obtain a relative angle between the mobile unit and the linear light source, so as to move in accordance to the relative angle. A motion guiding method is also provided.

A movable device is provided. When the movable device is at a specific position, a range finder detects reflected light in a first field of view to generate first previous data. When the movable device returns to the vicinity of the specific position, the range finder detects reflected light in the first field of view to generate second previous data. The range finder detects reflected light in a second field of view to generate compensation data. The processor unit performs a SLAM operation on the first and second previous data to generate first and second previous maps, respectively. When a probability that the second previous map does not conform to the first previous map is greater than a threshold value, the processor unit performs the SLAM operation on specific data and the compensation data to control the moving path of the movable device.

An embodiment of the invention provides a control method of a cleaning robot. The method includes steps of moving the cleaning robot according to a first direction; keeping moving the cleaning robot according to the first direction when a light detector of the cleaning robot detects a light beam; moving the cleaning robot for a predetermined distance and then stopping the cleaning robot when the light detector does not detect the light beam; and moving the cleaning robot in a second direction.

Control method for cleaning robots

The disclosure relates to a laser ranging calibration method and a laser range finder including a line laser generation module, an image capturing module and a processing module. The line laser generation module projects a line laser beam to a first direction from a first position. The image capturing module at a second position captures a ranging image in the first direction. When the ranging image includes a calibration target image of a calibration target having a first width, the processing module calculates a measured width of the calibration target according to a position of a line spot image of a laser spot on the calibration target image, obtains a calibration parameter according to the first width and the measured width, performs range finding according to the laser spot shown in the ranging image, and performs a calibration task using a calibration parameter.

Laser ranging calibration method and apparatus using the same

A state detecting method applied to a mobile device includes: arranging a depth sensor at the bottom of the mobile device, obtaining a detection signal of the depth sensor, and determining if the mobile device is in a lifted state, a tilted state, or an edge-bordering state, based on the numerical value of the detection signal of the depth sensor. The lifted state is associated with the mobile device without contacting with a support surface. The tilted status is associated with one end of the mobile device contacting the support surface and the other end of the mobile device without contacting the support surface. The edge-bordering state is associated with the mobile device located at the edge of the support surface. Accordingly, when the mobile device is in any of the aforementioned states, an appropriate response can be implemented.

State detecting method, robot and mobile device

An embodiment of the invention provides a charging station for a cleaning robot. The charging station includes an IR transmitter and a controller. The IR transmitter outputs a first IR light beam, wherein the IR light beam includes a second boundary and a first boundary which is substantially perpendicular or perpendicular to the charging station and the cleaning robot moves to the charging station along the first boundary. The controller controls the IR transmitter to output the first IR light beam or a second IR light beam. When the controller determines that the cleaning robot is near to the charging station, the controller controls the IR transmitter to output the second IR light beam.

An embodiment of the invention provides a cleaning robot including a light detector and a controller. The light detector detects a light beam. The controller is coupled to the light detector to control the cleaning robot. When the controller determines that the light beam is being output by a charging station, the controller controls the cleaning robot to move to the charging station along a first boundary of the light beam, which is substantially perpendicular to the charging station.

A direction device controlling a traveling route of a cleaning robot and including a receiving unit, an emitting unit and a control unit is disclosed. The receiving unit receives an encoded ultrasonic wave emitted by the cleaning robot. The emitting unit emits at least one wireless signal. The control unit activates the emitting unit to emit a first direction wireless signal when the receiving unit receives the encoded ultrasonic wave. The cleaning robot passes according to the first direction wireless signal.

Direction device and operation system utilizing the same

A mobile robot including a light emitting unit, a processing unit, an optical component, an image sensing unit, a control unit and a moving unit is provided. The light emitting unit emits a main beam. The processing unit diverges the main beam to a plurality of sub-beams. The sub-beams constitute a light covering an area. When a portion of the sub-beams irradiate a first object, the first object reflects the sub-beam and a plurality of reflected beams are reflected. The optical component receives the reflected beams and converges it to a first collected beam. The image sensing unit converts the first collected beam into a first detection result. The control unit calculates depth information according to the first detection result. The control unit activates the relevant behavior of the mobile robot according to the depth information and controls the mobile robot through the moving unit.
