The present disclosure provides a method for producing tetrahydrofuran (THF). The method includes: feeding 1,4-butanediol into a reactive distillation apparatus; performing the dehydration reaction in the presence of an acidic catalyst; and producing the top stream containing product THF and the bottom stream from the reactive distillation apparatus, wherein a weight ratio of a water content in the bottom stream to a water content in the top stream is 0.05 to 2.4, thereby providing a high conversion rate and more cost-effectiveness, and enhancing the value of the industrial application.

Methods for producing tetrahydrofuran

The present invention relates generally to methods and systems for removing oxygen from at least one product stream of a hydrocarbon oxidative dehydrogenation process. More specifically, in some embodiments, the oxidative dehydrogenation process is an ethane oxidative dehydrogenation process for producing ethylene, or a mixed alkane oxidative dehydrogenation process for producing ethylene and propylene, among other components.

A method for producing alkylphenol is provided. The method includes charging phenol and an olefinic compound into a reaction zone of a reactive distillation tower for a reaction; and separating a product stream containing alkylphenol from the reactive distillation tower, wherein the boiling point of the olefinic compound is lower than that of the phenol, and the phenol is charged into the reactive distillation tower at a charging position located above a position for charging the olefinic compound.

Method for producing alkylphenol

A method for producing allyl alcohol is disclosed. The method includes steps of feeding allyl acetate and water into a reactive distillation column; performing a reaction in a reaction zone and separating a product containing allyl alcohol, acetic acid and water from the reactive distillation column. Accordingly, the method effectively enhances a conversion rate of hydrolysis for allyl acetate, simplifies the process and reduces energy consumption.

Method for producing allyl alcohol

In the present invention, a Smith predictor enhanced PID controller, SP-PID, is proposed. A tuning parameter Kis devised and the SP-PID controller would be gradually transformed from a PID controller to a Smith predictor as Kchanges from 0 to 1. Properties of the SP-PID are explored and the design procedure is given to ensure a certain degree of robustness. Simulation results clearly indicate that the SP-PID takes advantage of the SP when small modeling error is encountered and it is gradually detuned to a PID controller, a user-friendly controller, when the model quality degrades. Moreover, the controller and its design procedure can be implemented in current process control computers with virtually no extra hardware cost.
