A vehicle parking brake control includes a parking switch for switching the parking brake between ON and OFF, a vehicle power source switch for switching a power source of the vehicle between ON and OFF, a parking brake controller for executing automatic application control when the power source is operated from ON to OFF by the occupant with use of the vehicle power source switch, and a prohibition condition determination unit for determining that when the parking brake is OFF, the vehicle is stopped, and the vehicle power source is ON, a prohibition condition for prohibiting automatically turning the parking brake on is satisfied when a turning-off operation for the vehicle power source switch is executed after a turning-off operation for the parking switch is executed. When a determination is made that the prohibition condition is satisfied, the parking brake controller does not execute the automatic application control.

Parking brake control apparatus for vehicle

A switching circuit includes: an input/output terminal section including four SW terminals; lines connecting between these terminals; switches disposed in paths of the respective lines; and diodes disposed in the paths of the respective lines. The switches are single-pole switches. The diodes are connected to normally closed terminals of the switches, respectively.

A vehicle stop maintaining system is provided, which includes a foot brake mechanism for braking vehicle wheels by applying hydraulic brake pressure according to brake pedal depression, a brake force control mechanism for braking the wheels by controlling a pressurizer, an electric parking brake mechanism for braking the wheels by operating an electric brake mechanism, and a controller comprising a processor for entering a first stop mode when a vehicle stopped state is detected. The processor executes a first determining module for determining existence of an interruptive factor, and a second determining module for determining a failure of the electric parking brake mechanism. If the interruptive factor exists, the controller executes a second stop mode. If the electric parking brake mechanism is determined as failed under the second stop mode, the controller operates a notification device for issuing a notification to a vehicle driver.

Stop maintaining system of vehicle

A vehicle stop maintaining system is provided, which includes a foot brake mechanism, a brake force control mechanism having a pressurizer and for braking the vehicle wheels by controlling the pressurizer independently from depression of a brake pedal, a controller for maintaining a vehicle stopped state by operating the brake force control mechanism when the stopped state is detected, and operating an automatic stop control, an automatic stop mode switch for selecting ON/OFF states of the automatic stop control upon receiving an input from a vehicle driver, and a control mechanism for controlling a given mechanism that is different from the brake force control mechanism, and operating the brake force control mechanism in response to a given operation by the driver. When the given operation is performed on the control mechanism by the driver, the controller switches the selected one of the ON/OFF states to the other state.

An object of the invention is to provide a disc brake improved in reliability. In a disc brake, a first holder-side projection is formed on a holder, and a first cover-side recess that fits the first holder-side projection of the holder is formed in a cover. An elastic member is disposed between the first holder-side projection of the holder and the first cover-side recess in the cover.

Disc brake

Provided is a brake device capable of maintaining pads and a rotor in a desired positional relationship. When receiving a release request within a time period from start of execution of an application request to detection of contact between brake pad and a disc rotor, a parking brake control device inhibits execution of the release request, and executes the release request after detection of the contact between the brake pad and the disc rotor. Further, when receiving the application request within a time period from start of execution of the release request to detection of separation between the brake pad and the disc rotor, the parking brake control device inhibits execution of the application request, and executes the application request after detection of the separation between the brake pad and the disc rotor.

Brake device

A vehicle stop maintaining system comprises an automatic transmission, an automatic stop-restart mechanism for automatically stopping and restarting an engine, a foot brake mechanism for braking vehicle wheels through hydraulic brake mechanisms, a brake force control mechanism having a pressurizer that increases hydraulic brake pressure applied to the hydraulic brake mechanisms, and for braking the wheels by controlling the pressurizer independently from brake pedal depression, a controller configured to maintain a vehicle stopped state by operating the automatic stop-restart mechanism to stop the engine and operating the brake force control mechanism to keep initial hydraulic brake pressure according to the brake pedal depression, and a drive force state determining module for determining a drive force stabilized timing. The controller operates the automatic stop-restart mechanism to restart the engine and operates the brake force control mechanism to release the initial hydraulic brake pressure when accelerator pedal depression is detected.

An electric brake apparatus includes an electric actuator configured to actuate a brake mechanism according to an actuation request signal, and an actuator controller configured to control an operation of the electric actuator with use of a power source mounted at a vehicle to perform control of holding and a release of braking by the brake mechanism. When a system recovers and the actuator controller detects that the control of the holding or the release has been interrupted with an uncompleted control state since system down occurred in the middle of the control of the holding or the release of the braking by the brake mechanism, the actuator controller maintains the interrupted state until a new actuation request signal is issued, and controls the operation of the electric actuator according to the content of the new actuation request signal.
