A process is disclosed for producing hydrogen of high purity from kerosene in petroleum oil. A feed of kerosene containing up to 1,000 wt.ppm of sulfur compounds is brought into contact with a nickel-containing sorbent at below 50 kg/cm.sup.2.G and at 150.degree.-350.degree. C. The resulting kerosene feed is further treated with a reforming catalyst under standard steam reforming conditions.

Process for hydrogen production from kerosene

In a railroad track bed an injected layer is formed between the railroad ties and the roadbed so as to protect the latter. The injected layer is composed of an injection material injected through openings formed in the tie. The injection material has a viscosity below 30 poise at a temperature not higher than 200.degree. C. before hardening, and when hardened it has a compressive stress at 10% strain of 0.4 to 30kg/cm.sup.2 at a compressive strain rate at 40.degree. C. of 1.5% per minute.

Injection materials for railroad track beds

A stripping-resistant asphalt composition comprising (A) an asphaltic material, (B) a reaction product of a maleic compound, such as maleic anhydride, and another organic compound, such as liquid polybutadiene, and (C) aggregate.
