Provided is a heat exchanger, including a plurality of heat exchange members arranged in a first direction so as to be spaced apart from each other. Each of the plurality of heat exchange members includes: a heat transfer pipe extending in a second direction intersecting with the first direction; and a heat transfer plate provided to the heat transfer pipe along the second direction. The heat transfer plate includes extending portions extending away from the heat transfer pipe in a third direction intersecting with each of the first direction and the second direction. The heat transfer plate is formed separately from the heat transfer pipe.

Heat exchanger and refrigeration cycle apparatus

A heat exchanger includes flat tubes, a header, and a refrigerant inlet. The header has a first plate, a second plate, and a third plate. The first plate has a ridge portion defining a tank space. The second plate has a first flow passage and a second flow passage. The first flow passage extends in such a manner that an area of the first flow passage coincides with an area of the tank space. The second flow passage extends in such a manner that an area of the second flow passage does not coincide with the area of the tank space. An upper portion of the first flow passage and an upper portion of the second flow passage are connected to each other via a first connecting flow passage. A lower portion of the first flow passage and a lower portion of the second flow passage are connected to each other via a second connecting flow passage. The third plate has a communicating hole that allows the first flow passage and each of the flat tubes to communicate with each other.

An outdoor unit of an air-conditioning apparatus includes a heat exchange body including a plurality of flat tubes that extend in a vertical direction and that are arranged in a horizontal direction with gaps therebetween. A plurality of the heat exchange bodies are arranged in a direction of air flow to form a heat exchanger. A first header, into which hot gas refrigerant flows from a refrigerant circuit, is provided below one of the plurality of the heat exchange bodies that is at a most upwind position.

A distributor includes a first branch flow path for dividing a first flow path into a plurality of second flow paths, and includes a first communication flow path communicating with the first flow path, a second communication flow path communicating with each of the second flow paths, and a bent portion connecting the first and second communication flow paths. The bent portion includes an inner peripheral wall portion including an inner face having a first radius of curvature, and an outer peripheral wall portion including an inner face having a second radius of curvature larger than the first radius of curvature. The second communication flow path includes an inner wall portion extending from the inner peripheral wall portion of the bent portion, an outer wall portion extending from the outer peripheral wall portion of the bent portion, a base portion and a tip portion. The distance between oppositely facing side walls of the base portion is greater than the distance between oppositely facing side walls of the tip portion. The outer wall portion has a liquid film separation unit that forms a boundary between the base portion and the top portion.

Distributor, layered header, heat exchanger, and air-conditioning apparatus

A finless heat exchanger includes two headers and a plurality of heat transfer tubes spaced apart from each other and arranged side by side. The two headers each have a plurality of insertion holes, to which both ends of the heat transfer tubes are fitted and connected. The heat transfer tubes each include straight portions extending in a direction orthogonal to an arrangement direction, in which the heat transfer tubes are arranged, and turning portions. The straight portions and the turning portions are alternately and continuously arranged.

A refrigerant distributor has a double-pipe structure including an inner pipe and an outer pipe. A plurality of outer pipes are disposed, each of the plurality of outer pipes being the outer pipe. A plurality of heat-transfer tubes are arrayed in a direction in which the outer pipe extends and connected to the outer pipe. A stacked header branches one flow path into a plurality of flow paths. The stacked header includes an upper end part positioned at an upper end of the stacked header in a gravity direction, a lower end part positioned at a lower end of the stacked header in the gravity direction, and a flow path forming part positioned between the upper end part and the lower end part and having a flow path formed in the flow path forming part. At least one of the upper end part or the lower end part is a non-horizontal face part having a non-horizontal face slanted with respect to a horizontal plane.

A heat exchanger includes a plurality of heat transfer tubes arranged at predetermined intervals in a vertical direction, a tubular header that has a plurality of connection portions where the heat transfer tubes are connected to a side portion of the header and that communicates with each of the heat transfer tubes, a refrigerant pipe that communicates with the header at a middle portion of the header in the vertical direction, and a first bypass pipe having ends one of which communicates with a lower portion of the header and the other of which communicates with a middle portion of the refrigerant pipe. A distance between a communication position at which the first bypass pipe and the refrigerant pipe communicate with each other and an inner wall of the header is not more than double an inside diameter of the refrigerant pipe.

A distributor includes: a fluid inlet; a plurality of fluid outlets; a distribution flow passage which causes the fluid inlet to communicate with the fluid outlets, and distributes fluid which flows into the distribution flow passage through the fluid inlet, among the fluid outlets; and a plurality of heat-transfer-tube insertion portions each formed to face an associated one of the fluid outlets, the heat-transfer-tube insertion portions allowing heat transfer tubes to be inserted therein. The heat transfer tubes are inserted in the heat-transfer-tube insertion portions such that an end portion of each of the heat transfer tuber is connected to the associated fluid outlet.

A heat exchanger includes flat cross-sectional shaped heat transfer tubes arranged with gaps between flat surfaces of the flat heat transfer tubes facing each other, and each having a flow passage in a vertical direction, and corrugated fins disposed between the flat surfaces facing each other. The corrugated fins each include an end portion in a direction in which air flows, and protruding from end portions of the flat surfaces, a drain hole provided adjacent to central regions of the flat surfaces in the direction in which the air flows, first louvers located upstream of the drain hole, and each including a slit and a slat that is inclined in the vertical direction, and second louvers located downstream of the drain hole, and each including a slit and a slat that is inclined in the vertical direction.

A distributor includes a first communication flow path, a second communication flow path, and a bent portion connecting the first communication flow path and the second communication flow path. The outer wall portion has a liquid film separation unit, which is a boundary between a relatively narrow section and a relatively wide section of the second communication flow path.

A finless heat exchanger includes a pair of headers each including a pipe-shaped portion extending in a first direction, and branching portions formed on the pipe-shaped portion, and flat pipes each having a flat sectional shape elongated in one direction, the flat pipes being arrayed in the first direction and connecting the branching portions of the headers. Flat surfaces of adjacent two flat pipes face each other and the adjacent two flat pipes each have a side surface facing a second direction orthogonal to the first direction. The flat pipes connect the branching portions, the side surface of each of the flat pipes has a wave shape, and adjacent flat pipes are prevented from contacting each other. Both the side surfaces are opened so that air flows in from a side corresponding to one side surface in the second direction and flows out from a side in the second direction.

A stacking-type header according to the present invention includes: a first plate-shaped unit; and a second plate-shaped unit stacked on the first plate-shaped unit, and having a distribution flow passage, in which the distribution flow passage includes a branching flow passage including: a first flow passage; and a second flow passage, and in which the branching flow passage is smaller in difference in flow resistance between the first flow passage and the second flow passage than a branching flow passage in a state in which a flow-passage resistance in the first flow passage and a flow-passage resistance in the second flow passage are equal to each other, and in a state in which the first flow passage and the second flow passage are point symmetric with each other about the opening port.

Stacking-type header, heat exchanger, and air-conditioning apparatus

Plate-shaped fins of a heat exchanger each include, at circumferential portions thereof defining a notch in which a heat transfer tube having a flattened shape is disposed, fin collars formed by being raised from the circumferential portions. Each of the fin collars includes, in a position that faces a long axis side surface of the heat transfer tube, at least one reflare section bent in a direction opposite to the side surface. At least one of the reflare sections defining fin pitches between the adjoining plate-shaped fins is formed so that a reflare tip portion, which is a tip portion of the reflare section, is drawn apart from a contact side surface of the plate-shaped fin with which the reflare section comes into contact.
