To provide a motor-operated valve diagnosing device capable of making a highly accurate diagnosis at a low cost. In a motor-operated valve diagnosing device for diagnosing a motor-operated valve having a motor-operated valve having a valve element driving part for opening and closing a valve element, and a spring cartridge which expands and contracts in proportion to a reaction force exerted thereon from the valve element driving part, a spring compression mechanism or a worm displacement measuring means is configured to be attached to the valve element driving part via an adapter. With this configuration, the spring compression mechanism and so on can be easily attached to and removed from the valve element driving part. In addition, since the spring compression mechanism and so on can be attached to the valve element driving part without any alternation of the valve element driving part, the spring compression mechanism can be shared by two or more motor-operated valves, and reduction of expense for a diagnosis of a motor-operated valve and improvement in accuracy of diagnosis can be achieved.

Motor-operated valve diagnosing device

Method and apparatus for diagnosis of motor-operated valve

A torque measuring method and apparatus for a motor-operated valve including a valve driving mechanism operable to open and close the valve, a worm displacable by driving of the motor to operate the valve driving mechanism, and a spring cartridge having a plurality of belleville springs and disposed coaxially with the worm for compression by the worm. The method comprises obtaining basic data representing a relationship between the amounts of compression of the belleville springs and the torques exerted, measuring a displacement of the worm or the spring cartridge and acquiring, from the thus obtained displacement of the worm or the spring cartridge, a real amount of compression of the belleville springs in which an influence of a play of the spring cartridge has been removed, and substituting the real amount of compression for the amount of compression of the basic data to acquire a real torque corresponding to the real amount of compression.

Torque measuring method and apparatus for motor-operated valve

The invention diagnoses an electrically operated valve, which is provided with a spring cartridge expanding and contracting in response to a reaction force acting on an axial direction of a worm in a valve element driving section, at both the opening and closing operations of the valve. A correlation between a driving force output signal from the valve element driving section and a driving force from a compression state of the spring cartridge is provided in a database. Then, a correlation between a driving force input signal to the valve element driving section and the driving force output signal is acquired in order to monitor a change in transmission efficiency of the driving force. Then, a driving force corresponding to a measured yoke stress is read out from the database for use in diagnosing the driving force of the electrically operated valve is diagnosed.

Electrically operated valve diagnosing method and diagnosing apparatus

A diagnostic method and apparatus for diagnosing a motor-operated valve capable of continuously measuring a preload of a spring cartridge at low costs, with high accuracy, and with ease, so that the elastic characteristics of the spring cartridge may be easily calibrated in a simple manner. The method and apparatus calibrates the torque curve representing the elastic characteristics the spring cartridgebased on the load corresponding to a specific compression condition of the spring cartridgeand based on the torque curve thus calibrated, produces a diagnosis of the motor-operated valve. Accordingly, an easy and quick diagnosis can be achieved on whether the torque-related characteristics of the motor-operated valve are appropriate or not.
