A scanning signal is precisely output to a scanning signal line corresponding to a row range even in a case where a plurality of scanning signals (including a precharge signal) are output at the same time. A display control circuit of the display device sets row selection enable signals at H level so that main charging periods are set in a range from an ith row to an mth row, which corresponds to a moving image region, and precharging periods corresponding to the main charging periods are also set. Accordingly, a precise scanning signal in which a precharging period having a necessary length is set and no unnecessary precharging period is set at all is output to each of scanning signal lines connected to a scanning signal line driving circuit, so that deterioration of display quality is prevented.

Display device and display method

The operability is improved according to a use form without complicating a detection mechanism of a display device. An optical system according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a reflective imaging element having a first principal face which is struck by light emitted from a display panel, a second principal face parallel to the first principal face, and two mutually-orthogonal specular elements being perpendicular to the first principal face, and causes an image displayed on a display surface of the display panel to form an image at a position of planar symmetry with respect to the reflective imaging element as a plane of symmetry. Provided is a display device for carrying out seamless display so that a sense of strangeness is not given to a viewer or the sense of strangeness is reduced. An erasing device for a liquid crystal display image of the present invention is furnished with an auxiliary power source for continuously supplying power source to a liquid crystal display panel for a certain period after the main power source of the main body of the liquid crystal display device is turned OFF. Upon input of a power source OFF signal directing to turn OFF the main power source, a driving signal generating circuit and a driver controller light up the liquid crystal display panel entirely on a saturation voltage of the liquid crystal and subsequently shut off the same entirely using the power supply from the auxiliary power source.
