A multiple type air conditioning apparatus includes a refrigerant supply unit having a variable capacity compressor, at least two internal air conditioning units each having an internal heat-exchanger and a fan device, the internal heat-exchangers of the at least two air conditioning units being connected in parallel to one another, a first variable expansion valve for variably throttling refrigerant, fed from the compressor, flowing through one of the internal heat-exchangers, a second variable expansion valve for variably throttling refrigerant, fed from the compressor, flowing through the other internal heat-exchanger and a variable flow rate control unit arranged at one side of the internal heat-exchangers from which refrigerant flows into each internal heat-exchanger in a heating operation, for regulating a distribution of refrigerant flowing into each internal heat-exchanger. The first and second variable expansion valves, and the variable flow rate control unit are controlled to maintain the refrigerant super heating of each internal heat-exchanger at a respective constant value with accuracy in a cooling operation and to supply a sufficient amount of refrigerant to the refrigerating circuit thereby achieving an appropriate heating/cooling capacity.

Multiple type air conditioning apparatus

A refrigerant heating type air conditioner operable in a cooling mode and a heating mode includes a first external heat exchanger which works as a condenser in the cooling mode and a second external heat-exchanger which works as an evaporator. Bypass means is disposed between a discharge side of a compressor and the second external heat-exchanger. An expansion valve is connected to an inner heat-exchanger, which works as a condenser in the heating mode, and to both the first and second external heat-exchangers. A control valve is disposed between a suction port side of the second external heat-exchanger for preventing the refrigerant from flowing to the second external heat-exchanger in the cooling mode. Pressure of the refrigerant which is trapped between the control valve and the expansion valve is increased by applying heat, by heating means, to the second external heat-exchanger. The heated refrigerant is released to the bypass means when its pressure exceeds to the pressure of discharged refrigerant from the compressor.

Refrigerant heating type air conditioner

An electric expansion valve is arranged between a first indoor heat exchanger and a second indoor heat exchanger. At a time of cooling operation, the electric expansion valve is fully opened to connect both the indoor heat exchangers to each other. At a time of dehumidifying operation the electric expansion valve is narrowed to apply a pressure reducing action across these indoor heat exchangers so that the first indoor heat exchanger acts as a reheater and the second indoor heat exchanger as an evaporator. The indoor air is cooled and dehumidified by the second heat exchanger and then reheated by the first indoor heat exchanger and blown into the room. At a time of dehumidifying operation, the temperature of the air blown into the room varies by controlling the speed of an outdoor fan. When the outdoor fan is rendered from an OFF to an ON state or from the ON to the OFF state, the opening extent of the electric expansion valve is set first to an initial opening level and then gradually varied to a target opening level. By so doing, it is possible to prevent refrigerant noise at the electric expansion valve.

Air conditioning apparatus having a dehumidifying operation function

An electronic expansion valve is provided between first and second indoor heat exchangers. At the time of cooling operation, the electronic expansion valve is fully opened with the result that the first and second indoor heat exchangers are communicated with each other. At the time of dehumidifying operation, the opening of the electronic expansion valve is decreased to apply the effect of pressure reduction between the indoor heat exchangers, so that the first indoor heat exchanger functions as a reheater and the second indoor heat exchanger functions as an evaporator. The air in the room is cooled and dehumidified by the second indoor heat exchanger and then discharged into the room after being reheated by the first indoor heat exchanger. At the time of the dehumidifying operation, controlling the speed of the outdoor fan permits the temperature of the air discharged into the room to be varied.

Air conditioning apparatus with dehumidifying operation function

A mixer has its associated fuel gas nozzle inserted on one side and includes an inlet section for introducing combustion air via a gap defined therearound to allow it with a fuel and a jetting outlet section for jetting a resultant air/fuel mixture. A cylinder is fixed to the jetting outlet section to burn the mixture. A burner head is fixed to the cylinder to allow the mixture which is jetted from the jetting outlet section via diffusion holes to be guided into the cylinder.

Burner for a combustion device

A heating apparatus includes a refrigeration cycle having a compressor, an indoor heat exchanger, and a refrigerant-heating unit. The unit includes a heat exchanger section through which a refrigerant flows, a burner, and a guide duct for guiding a combustion gas produced by the combustion of the burner so as to heat the refrigerant flowing through the heat exchanger section. A combustion rate of the burner is controlled in accordance with the difference between a room temperature and a preset temperature. When the combustion rate is within a specified range, it is shifted, in accordance with the temperature of the refrigerant flowing into the heat exchanger section, so as to prevent the condensation of water vapor in the combustion gas flowing through the guide duct.

Refrigerant-heating type heating apparatus

A pulse combustor has a main body in which a cylindrical mixing chamber and a combustion chamber are formed. An air inlet port and a fuel inlet port are formed in the body to open into the mixing chamber. These inlet ports are located on the same circumference of the inner periphery of the mixing chamber and spaced from each other. An air supply pipe for introducing air into the mixing chamber is connected at one end to the air inlet port, and a fuel supply pipe for introducing fuel gas into the mixing chamber is connected at one end to the fuel inlet port. The air supply pipe extends in a predetermined direction so as to cause the air introduced into the mixing chamber to flow while rotating in one direction along the inner periphery of the mixing chamber. The fuel supply pipe extends in a predetermined direction to cause the fuel to be introduced into the mixing chamber along a direction opposite the direction in which the air rotates.

Pulse combustor

A pulse combustor has a casing in which are defined a mixing chamber and a combustion chamber. The casing is formed with a first and second air inlet holes and a fuel inlet hole which open to the mixing chamber. An air supply pipe and a fuel supply pipe are connected to the first air inlet hole and the fuel inlet hole, respectively. The second air inlet hole communicates with the first air inlet hole through a communication hole formed in the casing. Air supplied through the air supply pipe is fed into the mixing chamber through the first and second air inlet holes.
