A die-cast aluminum bracket for a vehicle is provided between a mounted object and a vehicle structure. The die-cast aluminum bracket includes: a first attachment section configured to be coupled to the mounted object; and a second attachment section configured to be coupled to the vehicle structure, wherein a first surface, which faces the mounted object at the time when the mounted object is coupled, in the first attachment section has a chill layer removed section in which an internal layer of the bracket is exposed, and a second surface of the first attachment section has a chill layer, the second surface being on an opposite side of the first attachment section from the first surface.

A method of manufacturing an electromagnetic wave shield housing that accommodates an electronic component and shields the electronic component from electromagnetic waves is provided, which includes: placing a resin plate inside a shielding metal plate, the shielding metal plate including a plate central area of the metal plate having a shielding property against the electromagnetic waves, and plate outer peripheral edges that are formed around the plate central area and stand up from the plate central area in standing postures, the resin plate including a central portion that overlaps with the plate central area, and stand-up portions that stand up from the central portion so as to conform to the standing postures and overlap with the plate outer peripheral edges, respectively; and injecting resin to the shielding metal plate, where the resin plate is placed, from outside the shielding metal plate to cover the shielding metal plate with the injected resin from outside. Thus, the electromagnetic wave shield housing can easily be manufactured, without causing any changes to the postures of the plate outer peripheral edges of the shielding metal plate and impeding the weight reduction.

Method of manufacturing electromagnetic wave shield housing

A fuel cell vehicle comprises a fuel cell module, a vehicle body frame, a plurality of mounting portions and a tank. A front portion of the vehicle body frame that a front side mounting portion is attached to is configured to be movable upward in a vehicle height direction when a load is applied in the vehicle longitudinal direction. A rear side mounting portion configured to mount a rear side of the fuel cell module in the vehicle longitudinal direction to the vehicle body frame is configured to be more easily breakable, compared with the front side mounting portion, when the load is applied in the vehicle longitudinal direction.

To prevent that a connecting portion of a cable with an electrical equipment disposed rearward of the cable, an electrical equipment unit to be mounted on a vehicle is provided. The electrical equipment unit includes an inverter for supplying electric power to a drive motor of the vehicle, a fuel cell module disposed rearward of the inverter in longitudinal directions of the vehicle, a cable connecting the inverter with the fuel cell module, and a first clamp attached to the vehicle and for holding the cable. The first clamp has a gripping part formed with an opening and for gripping the cable, and an opening formed in part of the gripping part to extend in axial directions of the cable. The opening is formed in part of the gripping part to extend over one side of the gripping part in axial directions of the cable so as to receive the cable The opening is formed on a rear side in the gripping part in longitudinal directions of the vehicle.

A mounting structure for a heat accumulation tank is provided with an elastic member that wraps around a tank main body, and a heat accumulation tank mounting member which wraps around the outer peripheral surface of the elastic member and holds the tank main body by being tightened in the circumferential direction, and which attaches to a receiving member. The elastic member is a molded part. The length of the elastic member is shorter than length of the circumference of the outer peripheral surface of the tank main body. The heat accumulation tank mounting member includes a shift inhibiting portion which inhibits an upward shift of the tank main body. The outside diameter of the tank main body becomes increasingly wider in the upward direction.

Mounting structure and method for heat accumulation tank

A double-layer vacuum container includes: an inner container having a bridging member supported by an outer container in a bridging manner; the outer container through which the bridging member extending from the inner container is externally exposed; and a cover member for externally covering the portion of the outer container through which the bridging member is exposed and for sealing a space inside the cover member and a space between the inner container and the outer container in a vacuum state between the cover member and the outer container. With such a structure of the double-layer vacuum container, the inner container other than a lip is supported by the outer container with a good heat retaining property to prevent the displacement or damage of the inner container.

An engine cooling apparatus has a heat storage tank for storing and maintaining the temperature of cooling liquid let out of an engine into an engine cooling circuit. The heat storage tank is mounted in a vehicle so that a housing retained to a lower portion of a tank body forms a lowermost end portion of the engine cooling circuit in a vertical direction. An inlet passage of the housing is provided with a drain port. A portion (drooped portion) of a cooling liquid channel upstream of the drain port is lower than the position of the drain port in the vertical direction.

A heat accumulator for vehicle use, attached to a vehicle, has a double tank structure composed of an outer tank and an inner tank, a space formed between the outer tank and the inner tank being maintained as a vacuum, the outer tank and the inner tank each have an opening on a bottom face, the opening of the outer tank and that of the inner tank are joined to each other at the entire peripheries of the openings, preventing means for preventing fatigue failure from starting at the joining portion being provided at a portion extending from the opening to at least a side of the outer tank.

Heat accumulator for vehicle use

A heat storage tank includes a tank body having a cylindrical opening portion at one end side, and a coolant passage portion for defining therein flow passages communicating with the tank body. The tank body stores a coolant of a liquid-cooled engine therein while being thermal insulated, and the coolant flows into and flows out of the tank body through the flow passages. The coolant passage portion includes an insertion portion that is inserted into the opening portion in its axial direction. At least two O-rings are provided between the opening portion of the tank body and the insertion portion to seal a clearance therebetween, and are lined in the axial direction to be separated from each other in the axial direction by a predetermined distance. Accordingly, the heat storage tank can improve sealing performance of the coolant.

Heat storage tank in cooling water circuit

The invention provides an engine cooling device capable of suitably promoting the warm-up of an engine. This engine cooling device comprises a cooling circuit and a heat-accumulating passage. The cooling circuit is composed of a radiator passage, a bypass passage, and a flow rate control value for controlling the flow rate of coolant flowing though the bypass passage. The heat-accumulating passage is provided with a heat-accumulating container, and constitutes a heat-accumulating circuit for causing coolant in the heat-accumulating container to circulate via the engine. The cooling device completes the heat-accumulating circuit by connecting the heat-accumulating passage to the cooling circuit to supply the cooling medium in the heat-accumulating container to the body of the engine, opens the flow rate control valve to increase a flow rate of cooling medium flowing though the bypass passage, then disconnects the heat-accumulating passage from the cooling circuit, and closes the flow rate control valve.

Heat storage tank

A cooling system for an internal combustion engine includes a radiator provided in a coolant circulation path of the internal combustion engine, and an actuator that controls a flow rate of a coolant that passes through the radiator. In the cooling system, the actuator is controlled so that a coolant temperature of the engine becomes substantially equal to a target coolant temperature. The cooling system calculates a cooling loss as a quantity of heat removed from the engine by the coolant, based on an operating state of the engine, and calculates a required radiator flow rate, based on the cooling loss, the target coolant temperature, and a temperature of the coolant that has passed through the radiator. The required radiator flow rate represents a quantity of the coolant required to pass through the radiator so as to achieve the target coolant temperature. The cooling system then controls the actuator based on the required radiator flow rate.

Cooling system for internal combustion engine

An engine cooling system includes a flow control valve and an electronic control unit (ECU) for controlling the flow control valve. The flow control valve regulates the flow rate of coolant flowing through a radiator in a coolant circuit. The ECU feedback controls the opening size of the flow control valve such that the temperature of coolant at an engine outlet seeks a predetermined target value. During the feedback control, the ECU controls the flow control valve such that the opening size of the flow control valve remains above a predetermined lowest value. As a result, the flow control valve is prevented from falling in a small opening size range in which in which it is difficult to cause the engine outlet coolant temperature to seek the target value, and the engine outlet coolant temperature is favorably adjusted.

Engine cooling system

A flow control valve used in a cooling system of a water cooling type includes a first valve body and a first valve seat for controlling a quantity of radiator flow which returns from an engine to a pump through a radiator, a second valve body and a second valve seat for controlling a quantity of bypass flow which returns from the engine to the pump without passing through the radiator, and a step motor for displacing the valve bodies integrally as a valve unit. The first valve body, the first valve seat, the second valve body, and the second valve seat are so arranged that, in a range where the radiator flow quantity becomes practically zero, the bypass flow is permitted to flow at a slightly larger quantity than the radiator flow and, in other ranges, the bypass flow quantity is equal to or lower than the radiator flow quantity.
