A network device includes a processor; and a memory storing computer-readable instructions therein, the computer-readable instructions, when executed by the processor, causing the network device to perform: storing a first mail address and a second mail address; generating a first email to be addressed to the first mail address and a second email to be addressed to the second mail address, the first email having a first body including a URL, the second email having a second body including the URL; detecting a specific failure occurring in the network device; transmitting the first email to the first mail address and the second email to the second mail address when the specific failure is detected.

Information transmission system

In a printer connected to a network, email appended with link information is prepared for enabling an administrator to access information about the printer network terminal. The email is transmitted to the administrator terminal at a predetermined timing. Then, the administrator terminal accesses the information based on the link information appended to the email. As such, when a problem occurs in the printer, operations for resolving the problem can be quickly undertaken by the administrator.

An image forming apparatus includes: a selection section which selects a print target to be printed; an input section which inputs a print job for printing the print target selected by the selection section; an instruction section which instructs to continue the print job; and a printing section which executes a trial printing of printing a part of the print job including a plurality of pages input by the input section as a trial page, and thereafter, restarting and finishing the print job in response to that the instruction section instructs to continue the print job.

Image forming apparatus

A printing apparatus includes a memory configured to store print jobs, a printing device configured to print an image based on each of the print jobs, a detector configured to determine when it is time to execute calibration to correct a printing characteristic of the printing device, and a controller. The controller is configured to cause the printing device to print each monochrome print job stored in the memory prior to each color print job stored in the memory when the detector determines that it is time to execute the calibration. Also, the controller is configured to execute the calibration when the detector determines that it is time to execute the calibration, and to cause the printing device to print each color print job stored in the memory after executing the calibration.

Printing apparatus and method for controlling a printing process

An image forming apparatus includes a controller that is operable to: access files that is created by an external device and stored in the external storage device, the files containing images that are to be formed on the sheet by the image forming unit; generate auxiliary identification information including character string that is uniquely assigned for each of the files and for each of folders containing the files by using character information stored in a storage; control at least one of the display and the image forming unit to display file specifying information including filenames of each of the files and the auxiliary identification information so as that the auxiliary identification information is displayed preferentially from the filenames; and allow a user to select a target file that contains an image to be formed on the sheet based on the file specifying information.
