A film supplying apparatus includes a holding member for holding the vicinity of leading end portions of strips of negative film placed therein in a superposed state with a longitudinal direction of the negative film set in a curved configuration, and a pressing device for pressing an innermost ones, as viewed in a curved state, of the strips of negative film against a feed roller via the holding member. Accordingly, as the feed roller is rotated in the negative film feeding direction, the strips of film starting with the innermost one, as viewed in the curved state, of the strips of negative film are consecutively fed to a printer. In this case, since a force acting in a direction in which the curved shape of the film is reduced is applied to the negative film being fed, no large friction occurs with respect to the remaining film.

Film supplying apparatus

In an image recording apparatus in which an original is optically read and recorded on a photo-sensitive material, a multi-lens array is provided in the section reading the original. A belt-shaped color and density correcting filer consisting of a plurality of filter elements of differing colors and densities is movably disposed between the multi-lens array and the photo-sensitive material so that a desired one of the filter elements is positioned in the optical path of the multi-lens array.

A sheet feeding apparatus for use in a photocopier or the like in which sheets can be fed automatically from a cassette or manually from a manual-insertion tray to a pair of conveying rollers without interference and using a simple structure. Sheets are fed from the cassette to the conveying rollers with a semicircular roller, the latter having a flat surface which is directed downward at the completion of each sheet feeding operation. The manual insertion tray guides the manually inserted sheets along a path below the semicircular roller. A sensor detects when a sheet has been manually inserted, in which case rotation of the semicircular roller is inhibited.

Sheet feeding apparatus

An image recording apparatus in which a latent image formed on a photo-sensitive material by optical exposure is thermally developed. The photo-sensitive material is piled on an image receiving material so that the image developed on the photo-sensitive material is transferred onto the image receiving material. A moisture detecting sensor directly or indirectly detects the moisture content of the photo-sensitive material to output a control signal. In response to the control signal, a preheating roller preheats the photo-sensitive material or a humidifying nozzle is operated to humidify the photo-sensitive material, whereby the moisture content of the photo-sensitive material is maintained at a desired value.

In an image recording method and apparatus, a magazine holding a photo-sensitive material has a data storage means, such as a magnetic tape, in which data concerning the photo-sensitive material has been recorded, and when the magazine is loaded in an image recording apparatus, the data is read out by a data detecting means such as a magnetic head provided in the image recording apparatus so that the image recording operation is carried out and controlled according to the data thus read out and the amount of usable photo-sensitive material remaining may be monitored.

Image recording method and apparatus

A method of picture recording in which a surface of a photosensitive material is exposed to light containing a picture image and the exposed surface of the photosensitive material is superposed on an image receiving surface of an image receiving material so as to transfer the picture image obtained on the exposed surface of the photosensitive material onto the image receiving surface of the image receiving material. Judgment is then made as to whether the surface of the image receiving material to be superposed on the photosensitive material is the image receiving surface by using a detection device for detecting an absorption or reflection factor for light of a wavelength peculiar to the image receiving surface before the photosensitive material is superposed on the image receiving material, so that feeding of the image receiving material may be stopped when the judgment proves that the detected surface is not the image receiving surface.
